Thanks for posting all that, it brought my hopes up higher than they were. It sounds like he will be a companion, I mean, who else could they be talking about?

I still don't like to get my hopes up too high, but it certainly looks like we stand a higher chance of getting him than we originally thought. Especially if that leaked concept art turns out to be true.

I'm all for getting my hopes high, lol, gives me something to do. If it is Cullen that they are Squeeing/Talking about, it sounds like he won't be all "templar this, templar that, rawr, templars!" which is a "woohoo" from me.

Yeah I'm hoping they've learnt their lesson after last time. 

As for the squeeing, I can't see why the editor would be getting so excited about this particular male character that seems to be Cullen, if he wasn't romancable. Ok, so I know we squee over him, but we don't get THAT excited (like she did), except during the prospect of him being a companion/LI (like when that survey concept art of him came out.)

Just looking at those pictures I put up. Those dark circles around his eyes makes me wonder if maybe he's sick? Like the stress and lyrium is starting to harm him. Poor baby. :-(

Some people just have darker eyes.....But do all Templar's have to do lyrium I always thought it was a choice.

From what I can tell reading the codex, it's a necessity of the job because it enhances the Templars abilities enough to give them an edge against the mages during battle. Alistair suspects that the Chantry just uses it as a means to keep the Templars on a short leash by getting them addicted to the stuff, Samson also says something similar in DA2.

... I hope it's true, I'd love to see Cullen's reaction to that revelation!

- Tonia Laird wrote a character that Cori May edited
- Said written character is:
  -- speaking in patterns based on Laird's grandpa
  -- male
  -- worthy of "googly eyes"
  -- "a dream character"
  -- English accented (duh!)
- both women seemed to attend a VO session on 17/08/12 (Friday)
- VO session character is:
  -- voiced by  British voice actor
  -- " the character I'm most excited about. And you should be too."
  -- "so, so dreamy"
- Greg Ellis claims to be doing VO for Cullen on on 17/08/12 (Friday)

And, I see what you mean about the "more voice acting" comment. It could very well not be her first VO session she's sat in on, but still the first for that character, that she's "most excited about."

Hmm... you know, Cullen's been worthy of googly eyes for two games now, and he's never been a LI. I don't know if that necessarily means he's romanceable... I think DG already mentioned that a bunch of folks at BW are also goo goo over him, like we are.

Based on all that and my sense from Asunder, I would really doubt it was optional.

IMHO, it's worth it, if you're interested in "what happens next" for Thedas. Big big stuff. I sorta felt the other books were interesting companion info, but this one feels much more... central to the main plots.

I never noticed that before, so then perhaps would that mean others wouldn't get addicted at all? Oo, interesting new info to speculate.
I have a question that may have been answered before but, why don't mages get addicted to lyrium?

I read some of it free online..and your right it does seem to have a bigger feel to it....I just wish i could go out and buy it.

Yeah it could still easily be just a NPC slot like he usually is, but I'd like to think that the women who swoon over him within the DA team have been pestering David Gaider to make him a romancable companion. To be fair I too am "most excited about" Cullen being in DA3 even if he isn't a companion/LI so perhaps that's what Cori May is refering to? I guess a large part of this also depends on whether that concept art from the survey leak is real or not. If it is then that increases the likely hood of him being a companion, judging by his unique outfit, although even then that doesn't mean it's 100% guaranteed. 

Either way, I'm sure something else will get leaked/hinted at that will give us more of an idea. Hell, if there's a script leak then we'll soon know for sure lol.

Ok, so we got really excited just by learning that he was in the game in some small capacity. But, she had inside info, she knows exactly whether that character is Cullen and if he's a fully romancable companion, which makes me think that's why she said "I get to listen to more voice acting, for the character i'm most excited about. And you should be too" - We should be excited to because it's someone a lot of people will be pleased to discover is a companion perhaps?
