See, this just goes to support what I've always thought: DRAGON AGE NEEDS MORE SKIRTS!! The templars have got it right...Tonia Laird wrote...
Oh, that isn't my opinion on Anders. That's my character's opinion. If I played as myself I would have probably painted my face half blue and mooned the templars since my personal beliefs are very western and very liberal. Freedom for all! And so forth.

I might question how pro-mage one could be if one was against Anders... but I suppose anyone who'll still fight the templars is useful enough in the battle, yes?
The reason my Hawke killed Anders in the end is that he put her sister, and every other mage in Kirkwall, in danger. My rogue took responsibility for Anders, and ended him right there. That's how I role-played it, anyhow.
Thanks for dropping in and giving us some of your time, Tonia! This is history-making.
Don't mind some of the posters here. Things have a tendancy to get kind of negative lately. I blame the President.
So since you're dropping in, can we infer that you're a Cullen fan yourself, or at least someone who finds his character interesting? Do you have a favorite Cullen scene or fan art?
Thanks for all your hard work on The Next Thing - you're making something that we know we're going to love so we'll always be big fans of yours for that!
My first playthrough on Origins was the female Amell. I thought Cullen was ridiculously cute when my character flirted with him. There's some amazing fanart out there of Cullen, I really like Aimo's work when it comes to him.

I haven't been disappointed with a DA writer yet. Bioware pretty much knows how to find the talent they need. If Tonia's got the job, I'm sure she deserves it. Besides, from what her tweets say she's not low on inspiration!
Lol. Well, there's hundreds of threads in the DA2 forum full of ideas about pretty much everything you could possibly think of regarding Dragon Age games... Granted, not all them are fantasic, but it's something at least!

Aimo's work is amazing! She recently made a gorgeous one of Cullen, it sold before I could buy it though. <_<

So, Tonia, in your opinion, did Cullen run away from Amell because he was just nervous/ungainly around women, particularly women he likes, or because he needed to remove himself from temptation because of his duty? We've had varying opinions in our discussions on whether he would actually have gotten involved with Amell/Surana or not.Tonia Laird wrote...

I loved how he ran away if your Warden tried to seduce him. I tried to follow him once, but he ran though a door lol. He's so ridiculously awkward, even in DA2 he got all stuttery and flustered at the mention of "the young ladies" at the blooming rose. I'd hope that if he is ever a companion/LI, he'd still get flustered when the protagonist flirts or whatever.

It would be out of character if he didn't at least a little. Thats what makes him so adorable.Other than being handsom of course.LolaLei wrote...

That moment with Cullen was one of the most memorable in the whole game, I think. His response to the way the demons use her memory to torture him was... hard to listen to. I'm afraid being mind-raped in DA:O could have a negative affect on him in the romantic department in the future.

I guess obviously Greg Ellis didnt know who he was voicing when he went into the studio to record, but surely if he was going in to do a companion part then he would have been required to know about it in order to keep himself free for more recording. Or maybe he went in to record Cullen's companion lines, found out on the day that it was a full companion slot, realised he couldn't commit to all the sessions after making that tweet, so was then relegated to minor NPC's.:crying:
:crying:
No!!
It's all just speculation, don't get discouraged
On a totally unrelated topic, I keep getting hit by earthquakes. I just felt one now. I've felt like 4 or 5 in the past 2 weeks. Very odd..
I heard about that. Im like 10 minutes from the beach so I have not felt any of them.

I wouldn't care if he looked like the back end of a bus, the poor guy needs a little romance in his life. After everything he's been through, I think he deserves some happiness at last.
