I'm feeling pretty  good about that likeliness. VGA's are all eyes on. If they have something big they will Intro it there. That gives them another 4 months to prepare a trailer.

I think they'll anounce it a t VGA, probably have a teaser trailer with the new character. Which will probably be a male in the vid...anyways, back on the farm, how much you want to be it will be announced as either comming out this march or december 2013:bandit:

Ok, just thought of one thing I would really like in the new game.

I've decided that I am extremely tire of all the short or shoulder length hair. And I play on Xbox so I can't mod. It would be nice to have a long hairstyle for once. And, you know, I have shoulder length hair, but that's not the point. Back in them days, long hair was more the way to go. I get it's probably a pain in the but for the animators, but if you can give Flemeth a kick ass outfit and hair, well darn it, I want some too lol

Well now wouldn't it just be dreamy if the Cullen VO that Ellis was in the booth for that day was for the trailer for DA3? Hmmm? Hmmm? You see a bunch of action sequences quickly flash across the screen then hear a voice say "Maker watch over you" and it zooms into Cullen's hooded face at a rainy market stall. He fades back into the shadows. Then more big flashes of action with him fighting angry cheese flinging Orlisians.

Just found a cool little Dragon Age 2 fan video on YouTube, featuring Cullen:




I love his expression whilst sitting on the boat, it's kinda what I imagine his general demeanor to be whilst traveling to Orlais.

That video was really cool. At first I didn't like that version of Hurricane but it grew on me after a while. And Cullen was in it! +100
Everytime I see him raise his sword in the characters defense it makes me squee, lol.

So I was just reading the Seekers of Truth codex from DA2 and this part in particular got me thinking:

"When a Seeker steps from the shadows, templars run for cover—because why would he come unless the templars somehow failed in their duties?"

Obviously, later we find out that the templars/mages have rebelled and Cassandra arrived looking for Hawke in Kirkwall etc. BUT do you suppose that maybe Cassandra went looking for Cullen too? Firstly he sided with Hawke so perhaps she thought he be able to give information into where he/she went? And secondly, he helped kill Meredith and pretty much failed to prevent Anders from blowing up the Chantry, the latter would be considered a failure on his part not doing his job well enough.

So maybe in DA3 we will discover that Cassandra ordered him to go to Orlais to answer to/help the Divine, or maybe he got the hell out of Kirkwall the minute sh!t hit the fan and was long gone by the time the Seekers arrived? Regardless of whether Cullen is a companion or just a cameo/NPC I hope he tells the new protagonist how he ended up in Orlais, I'm so curious to find out what he's got to say.

I wish. But I doubt it...sigh...

Because they probably don't want anyone knowing anything about companions until the game comes out. Giving us a new sneak peak at a new main isn't really giving anything away. I'm hoping they show a really cool mage, in some really cool get up, hooded, maybe casting some crazy spells! Then, the symbol of the chantry shows up with a dragon flying by. Then then Title pops ups with the character still standing and watching the flames.

Cullen: "Brave isn't the word for it, those poor creatures. There should be a law against things like that."

Protagonist: "Cullen... we're in Orlais. If you think that's weird, wait until the masquerade party this evening. Which reminds me, I picked you out the most exquisite blue satin top hat and tails for you to wear..."

Cullen: "WHAT?! Maker no!"

Protagonist: *Tries to conceal her amusement*

Cullen: "... You're evil." *Tries to conceal amused grin*

Well, if those leaks are true then most of the Chantry folk get wiped out in another blast, so there probably won't be much left by the time we get into the full swing of the game. Sounds like we'll be wiping the slate clean and rebuilding everything from the ground up.
