That Grey Warden could just be an important NPC? Or even a default of your Grey Warden since there's rumours about bringing our Grey Warden back as a cameo or some ****.

... Or maybe our new protagonist will be a Grey Warden again? I was kinda hoping they'd step away from that and give us something else for our PC.

my grey warden looks nothing like that lol, I hope your right, it could be the protagonist considering they mentioned something about a warden plot, I was kinding hoping for something different too but I don't know

I could tolerate being a Grey Warden again if it meant we got Cullen as a companion/LI, although it's a bit of a bum deal since Grey Wardens don't live very long so it'll be a short relationship, especially if our characters had the taint for a considerable amount of time.

It could be a possibility that Cassandra and that Warden were used for the concept art because they will be major NPC's that we will have to work with and do quests for (along the same vein as Meredith and Orsino in DA2.)

Hm, that's 3 warriors then. It threw me off again because they all had their set costumes rather than armor.

Did David Gaider clarify whether they were two handed or sword and sheild? Usually they do 1 sword and sheild and 2 two handed warriors I think

Weelll, I don't know that we've had enough games to really see a full on pattern emerging of how many of what type of companion we have access to, except that they'll have a variety of styles.  It's probably too soon to panic over concept art for a  game that hasn't even been officially announced yet. Of course, very very tantalizing concept art. But, even if they do include a warden and a seeker, there's no telling whether the final version will be warriors either. Plus, they even changed Cullen's style from two-handed to sword&board between games, so they could always twitch things if they want to include him.

What if da3 ends up being the return of ur warden n u have to now choose between ur previous Li n Cullen....now that would b evil, I would have to make a new warren that doesn't romance alistair which would also b hard...

I'd keep her with Alistair, I love his personality too much. BUT I'd make a seperate Warden without using my DA:O/DA2 import to romance Cullen LOL.

I was thinking we'd end up playing some orleasian minus the accent, but me too I'd trade in to be a warden if it meant we got Culen. I guess it could (and hoping) they're npcs, though I'm kind of wondering why they'd show us the companion armor setup on non-companions 

Could be just so that why don't spoil the surprise? If maybe they'd used Cassandra and a Templar looking suspiciously like Cullen then it would give things away too soon.

Yeah I guess you're right, hopefuly... 
I'll stop jumping to conclusions now, in my mind Cullen is still a companion in DA3 

It'll be a giant waste if they don't use him. Hopefully people would kick up such a fuss that they'd introduce him as DLC if he wasn't already a companion like they did with Seb.

I'd probably romance Alistair in the first, let him dump my warden then Cullen time <3

I actually hope they don't bring my Warden back, not even as a cameo. I don't mind there being suggestion that she was in the area through comments from past DA:O companions but I think it'll be too much of a risk bringing him/her back, it could go horribly wrong if he/she doesn't behave how we expect them to or we don't like the VA they use. There are too many variables that could cause the whole thing to go ****** up.

I kinda don't want Alistair making a cameo again either, hell knows what they'll make him look like this time round, plus I wasn't keen on his banter about my Grey Warden it was out of character.

Agree! I was really worried when they mentioned something about the warden cameo, I doubt they'd actually do it but still I wouldn't want it to happen because it would probably end up being way out of character for most people's.

In DA2 it looked like Alistair had been eating too much cheese and his face began to melt or something, well at least it was better than zevran lol, I have a feeling we'll be seeing Alistair/Anora though since there's alot hinted at a war between Orlais and Ferelden

It'll be Anora in my case then cos I kept Alistair as a Grey Warden and my Amell ran off with him. I'd look on Youtube for the King Alistair stuff, then **** when he makes some rude comment about his Warden wife if it's out of character LOL.

I doubt they'll bring our Warden back though, I think it was just hypothetical talk after some guy asked if he/she would get a cameo or come back as a companion.

LI = Love interest.

I wouldn't mind if Hawke came back, so long as he looked like he was supposed to and acted the way we made him act in DA2... hopefully he'd return with his LI, in my case Anders.

Slightly off topic.

Are you more attached to your Warden or your Hawke?

I personally feel more of an attachment to my Warden, I don't know if that's because she was unvoiced so when I pick her replies it was read in my voice with responses I would have used in real life, or because I gave her my name and made her look like me, or because I got massively attached to Alistair and as such want them to remain together.

My Hawke is male partly because I hate Female Hawke's voice and partly because I love the way male Hawke delivers his lines but mostly because I didn't want all my main characters to be females or clones of myself lol. However, if there had been a love interest that I grew really attached to that I'd want to date if they were a real person then I probably would have made a female Hawke in my likeness LOL.

Soooo, even though Hawke is my own customised character I'm not as attached to him as my customised Warden. I think I can safely say however, that my new protagonist in DA3 will indeed be a clone of myself if Cullen is a love interest.

I always stay on as his 'mistress' mosly because I found Anora's final battle speech unbearable, my poor Amell feels like such a home wrecker, I wonder if Alistair or Anora ever got married? unless they mrried eachother of course

Yeah but Anora's a total **** so it doesn't matter that you're his Mistress! I was always concerned that he'd take on more than one Mistress if you hardened him and let him become King, so I never Hardened him and I didn't let him become King because my Warden is the Amell mage (just cos I love the little scene at the beginning with Cullen LOL.)

Warden for me.   I don't know if it's the fact that she had no voice actor--it might contribute to why I am drawn to my Warden than Hawke.  Or just the voice overs of Hawke (both male and female; mostly female though)  just turned me off from trying to put myself in her feet.  I actually felt more attached to my dwarf noble than the past mages I 've played.  I actually cried when she was being sent to the Deep Roads. ><  And the second time I rolled her (for the screenshot I took of her killing that treacherous scout to), I cried at the same spot x_x.

I was just thinking the same thing. Even if he is a companion, I bet they'll hide it for a long while. Like they did with Isabela.

You know, in theory it sounds hard choosing bet Alistair and Cullen, but then I realize I've already done it in reality as I'm playing DA:O w Karma's companions mod right now. And that's even with my less favorite young, broken Cullen. So, yes,  hard, but in the end I find I'm personally much more of a Cullen fangirl.

That said... if the Warden comes back, supposedly it'll only be a cameo. One of the few things they've said is that the PC will always be someone new. So, ideally, we wouldn't have to make such a heartwrenching choice.

EDIT: Oh, and for me, perhaps strangely, I'm a bit more invested in my Hawke, actually. The DA2 story took hold of me in a way the Origins one never did. My Warden always felt more like a paperdoll I was moving around a chess board. :shrug:

Jasmine96: I always felt Hawke's motivations were kinda selfish, he/she was essentially working towards climbing the social ladder but got thrown into a political **** storm in the process, where as the Warden's motivations were always for the good of everyone else.

Dunquixote: It's weird, both male and female Shepard have voice actors and I felt really attached to them, I was absolutely devastated by those endings and the thought that my female Shepard had been seperated from her crew and Kaidan who she had stayed faithful to and waited for since ME1. Yet I wasn't attached to Hawke, maybe that's because we only played as him/her for one game rather than three? But then, we only played as the Warden for one game and I love her and the DA:O companions to bits.

I wonder what it is about DA2 that stops some of us feeling as attached to them as we do with the protagonists and companions in the other games? (Excluding Cullen of course lol.)

I was more attached to the Warden. I had a very hard time feeling anything other than apathy in DA2.
