I'm good R2. Thanks.  At least I know what's not wrong and have some ideas as to what is - namely a pinched nerve. Left arm looooves to tingle and ache if I sit in an upright position too long. But there was some other stuff that's getting better with meds and time. Woo!

Did George Clooney take your temperature? 

haha! I wish! But the nurse I had was nice and she's been going through something similar so she understood my pain. It's good when you have a hard time pinning down exactly how you feel, and are worried people will think you're making it up, to have someone who gets it.

So I'm still plugging away at those playlists. I finished organizing the first one last night.

Are you a med tech or doing your ER time for a nursing career? I had to do that when I did my med tech training back in the... '90s. Gah. Time's fun when you're having flies. Or something like that.

Edit: Oh noes! I see you're there as a patient. I hope everything goes OK!

I'm going to be offline until Monday (I'm doing work computer stuff, and the work computer security will not open the necessary programs if an internet connection is detected), so I may miss page 500. LolaLei has my contribution and will post it in case I'm not back in time.

To everyone in the thread, the last 480+ pages have been awesome! I'm sure the next 1000 will be just as great! It has been an honor.

I hope you're in the ER to pick up doctors and not because you're hurt! What gives??

Alas, no. I had my husband take me when the ache and tingle in my left arm that I've been experiencing for the last week, suddenly worsened really bad and my heart was thumbing and I felt a little dizzy. I was worried it was my heart but they did a scan and checked my heart enzyme levels and did blood work - nurse was rockstar at getting to my difficultveins! - and everything looked "beautiful" according to them. Everything was good except my iron level and the elevated stress hormone levels. They think it's a combo of factors that's making my heart hurt, like not sleping well when my kids were sick, being under stress and not getting enough iron. So I'm correcting these things but the random breathlessness is anxiety and they want me on Ativan for a little bit and to try relaxation techniques. The arm, however, as well as some of the heart stuff, they think is caused by a pinched nerve that I most likely inflicted on myself when I fell down down my stairs. So I'm stuck just waiting and trying not to wrench my back. But I should see a chiropractor soon.

But I did achieve finishing that chapter I wanted before page 500 came up. I am currently working on another. I'm just hoping to get that out before 555 lol

All this discussion about what makes the templars evil or not and why it makes Cullen just as despicable - or not - has me trying to finish the fic I was writing about Alrik and what Cullen does to protect mages from him. Once he's had a rude and disturbing wake-up call that is... which is disturbing and gratuitous and I can't believe I wrote it.

I wanted to do a kiss!fic but I feel the need to add some redemption for our favorite knight.

My problem, is that my fun loving mage is becoming a little disturb, wich i planned from the start. But it's happening a little sooner then I wanted and she's a little more...mean then I thought lol

Ah. Gotta love it when characters do that.   Do you feel it's a natural progression for her? Or does it seem too much too soon in regards to her evolution? Or just in regards to your comfort with the story?

I think it suits her just fine actually, that's the funny part. She's been through a hell of a lot, my little mage. And she's kind of finally just taking it out on someone, unintentially btw. It's kind of her moment to just let go, and be the bad guy for once. But only for a moment, Cullen snaps her back to the real world, real quick.

Oooo! That's always a fun ploy! If it seems natural then trying to change it might do more harm than good. Do you have a beta? A fresh pair of eyes might have a different perspective and as a reader tell you if something seems off.

I've never used a beta. To be honest.

And it's always been the plan to make my mage, bitter, eventually, lol. I am writing my chapters a lot bigger then I had intended to, that's why her character is developping so well. Right now, in that chapter, the group is only on their way to Redcliffe,  I still have lots to write. So I'm enjoying it

I had a similar situation a month or so ago- I was having major dizzy spells and the migraine from hell and my fiancee took me to the ER where they promptly told me I had a headache. Seriously- official diagnosis. Headache. lol. We joke that it's our $1,000 headache.  They actually gave me some benadryl and another drug- I forget the name off hand- that they use as a...like a stimulator for intestial issues- I guess if you use them together it helps with migraines and nausea? Anyway, they gave me it in an iv and told me it might make me "jittery" and I had a full blown panic attack. lol. I literally wanted to rip the IV out of my arm and run out of the hospital- serious psychotic episode. lol.  But my nurse was really nice. We were there for hours.

They gave me some Ativan and a prescription for more and a prescription for morphine for the nerve pain. I an't take it because it makes me sick to my stomach. The Ativan is to help control anxiety so they can see to what extent I'm affected by the nerve. Fun times...

LOL, I totally just read that as "They gave me some Antivan prescription" ... I swear I must have Dragon Age on the brain or something!

Oh dear, that all sounds quite scary for you both! Sympathies!! Especially when they can't quite figure out. Egad, hate going to the ER for similar reasons, worrying that it won't be "emergency" enough or it'll go away before someone gets to me. LOL of course, last time I asked if it had been a good idea to come to the ER, the doctor nodded slowly and then admitted me to ICU for a week! D'oh!
