Lambert deemed Cullen a threat towards the newly rebelled Templar Order. After his act of defiance surrounding the nullification of the Nevarran Accord, he couldn’t be allowed to walk free. There could only be one solution.

“Pah, insolent fool! Throw him in the dungeons and let the rats deal with him.” Lambert hissed.

“What?! NO! … So help me Lambert, I’ll find a way out of here! And when I do, may the Maker have mercy on your soul!” His heart filled with fear and rage, Cullen knew he had to escape.

It was imperative that he warn the Divine of Lambert’s treachery, lest something terrible happen…

Trust

Summary: Set after DA2, an innocent haircut turns into much more for the former Knight-Captain Cullen and his fearless leader.


Cullen jumped when warm breath tickled his ear and long dark hair swept over his shoulder.

“Cullen, you’ve got to relax. Perhaps the time has come for you to start trusting me,” she said softly against his ear. Her lips brushed against him when she smiled and then she straightened, letting him breathe a little easier as she moved away.

Trust. That was of course easier said than done. He looked uneasily at the flash of razor sharp metal at the edge of his vision. He knew she was a master of the blade, but this was very different. It was much more up close and personal and required much greater control. Especially so close to his neck. And, primary arteries.

While she resumed her work, he glanced around him at the multitude of long, tangled curls littering the bank of the pond next to which he sat. With the fading sunlight picking out the reddish highlights in the twisted golden lengths, the discarded hair looked almost macabre, like she was cutting away the painful history that had led to his dramatically changed appearance.

If only it were so simple...

Cullen stood poised to knock when he heard her nervous laughter carry from her room. ‘Who could she be talking to at this hour?’ He’d only escorted her back from the party a little more than an hour previous, before he realized he had to go back to see her.

“Look, we’ve been traveling together for some time now,” she was saying. “I think we’ve grown to know one another quite well by now…”

Traveling together? One of our companions? He leaned in with his ear closer and heard her sigh.

“The truth is I’ve come to have feelings for you…” she began. “No. That’s not right…. You are an amazing man…I… ”

‘Galyan! Dammit.’ The only other man in their rag tag bunch had captured her attentions. ‘Here I am about to admit my adoration only to find her heart beats for another’. Cullen’s eyes clenched for a moment as he felt his chest tighten with regret.’ I should have told her weeks ago but I was a coward!’

“Well I know you’re too much of a gentleman to come out with it so…. I love you. There. I said it. So… what now?” she quickly spouted her confession.

There was a long pause and no answer. Cullen’s ears strained for Galyan’s response. The only sound was her quiet giggle. His head dropped in defeat. His legs seemed heavier as he began to turn and retreat back to his room before he was stopped short.

“NO!” she yelped before a shattering of glass rang out.

Cullen splintered the door open with one mighty heave.

“Unhand her!”

He stood poised for a battle that was not coming.

“Cullen???” she exclaimed with a start. “What are you doing here?”

“I… I… came back to see you. I heard voices and…. Are you the only one here?”

“Yes, of course, you can see that I am!” she motioned to the empty chamber. They were the sole inhabitants, save one toppled side table and a broken vase beside it.

“But I heard you talking… “ he eyed the woman before him, perplexed. She was blushing fiercely now and refused to meet his gaze. Suddenly it dawned on him. “You were talking to yourself.”

She nodded and twisted a lock of hair nervously. “I was practicing my speech…. Trying to figure out what I was going to say… to you, actually.”

He stood dumbfounded for but a moment before closing the short distance between them with very deliberate steps. He was sure his heart would beat right out of his chest as he fixed one arm around her waist and the other tangled in her auburn tresses. His mouth ardently found hers with a fervor that surprised them both. The crushing need of her lips was matched only by his own. Breathless, Cullen pulled away to search her eyes for acceptance. She answered silently with one more brush of her silken lips. Rising up on tiptoe, she kissed a gentle trail up his neck to whisper in his ear.

“You broke my door…”

These are Berelinde's Cullen inspired drinks, she apologises that she can't be here to join in the fun:


Lyrium Potion

1/2 ounce/15mL blue curacao
2 ounces/60mL peppermint schnapps, e.g. Rumple Minze
ice
orange peel, white pith removed

Fill shaker flask with ice, add booze, and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with a strip of orange peel, and serve once weekly.



Tangy Templar for a Crowd

1/2 cup/225mL green apple flavored vodka
1 quart/1 litre cranberry juice cocktail
3 12-ounce/375mL bottles dry cider (hard cider)
green apple sorbet or lime sherbert
mint leaves

Chill all ingredients overnight. The next day, combine ingredients in a punch bowl, stir gently, add ice blocks if desired, and garnish with sorbet and mint leaves. Serve at holiday parties or when the mages are getting uppity.


Tangy Templar, individual serving

1 1/2 ounce/50mL green apple flavored vodka
6 ounces cranberry juice cocktail
1/2 12-ounce bottle/200mL dry cider (hard cider)
ice

Add all ingredients to a pint glass half-full of ice and stir gently. Share with a sexy templar


The Knight-Captain's Soother

2 tsp/20mL dried mint leaves
boiling water
1 vanilla bean
sugar or sweetener of choice to taste

Put the mint leaves in a tea ball and steep in a cupful of boiling water. Split vanilla bean and use as a stirrer. Add sugar or sweetener to taste.

When I think of Cullen post-Kirkwall, I think of him reviewing his entire life's devotion to the Chantry and whether it was all a mistake. This song represents the hope Cullen has for the Chantry to me (written by real-life Christians - don't judge till you hear- it's amazing!) and represents the journey he's on with the Order currently and the choice he'll have to make between faith and fury.

Collide
Hawke is discovered to be a mage by Meredith and to save face, the Knight Commander orders that the Champion be on very strict supervision short of actually being jailed. Despite Hawke's continued aid to the Order, Meredith shortens Hawke's leash with every incident of dark magic until coming up with an extreme measure that allows her to put a knight in Hawke's home by way of a marriage. Of course there is a stipulation or two: No one is to know that the marriage is a sham and the union MUST remain annullable. The New Order
After suffering a terrible loss, Cullen and his still loyal knights make their way to the Divine as per the orders of a dying Seeker and are met on the way by a full garrison of knights, led by a staunch commander that challenges him at every turn. Of Dragons and Mages

Let me tell you a story of Dragon Age Lore 
Of something that caught me off guard, like nothing before. 
I was surprised that a game would be as so bold 
As to let you, the fan, have your Origins told. 
Out of all the stories that could have been, 
The one that intrigued me the most, was that of the Mage Origin. 
I felt for all these robe figures full of power, 
Knowing that they would probably never leave Kinloch Tower. 
The thing that seems to pull at my heart strings the most, 
Is to learn that my character can eventually become a demons host. 
With this as being common knowledge, my mage is set apart, 
Knowing full well, she can never truly follow her heart. 
Then to the viewers surprise, there lies a twist. 
Of a forbidden love that could offer just this. 
A Templar Knight, not fully enthralled 
By the idea of Andraste not loving us all. 
Disheartening as it may be, the Tower does fall 
By a blood mage, Uldred who tortures them all. 
Eventually, you come across that same Templar Cullen 
Trapped in a cage, he'd become bitter and sullen. 
Unable to comfort his worried mind, 
You realize that this love was not meant for this time. 
Even after the game was done and my mage's story was complete. 
I still felt that the moment was a bit bitter sweet. 
We had saved Ferelden and maybe throned a King, 
But in the end, you feel something lacking. 
Your brain starts to think and begins to plays tricks, 
Now you sit and wonder of all the 'what ifs.' 
What if that Templar would have been available for a romance, 
Maybe he would have actually give my mage a chance? 
But alas, that's not the case, this game is done. 
We as fans can only hope this gets resolved in the next Age of Dragon.

tThis is Cullen and our new Protagonist and My Idea of their first kiss Part.1 . On the run from the Rebel Templars, our Pro and Cullenet separated from the rest of their party, only to be captured by the rebel templars. They are thrown into a small makeshift cell in a small cave. Pro is distraught by all of this and fells that there is no way out. She fears they will both be killed and begins to weep. Cullen sees her crying he gently wipes the tears from her cheek. She gazes into the eyes of the man she has fallen in love with. (Continues Next Picture)
