Hawke is discovered to be a mage by Meredith and to save face, the Knight Commander orders that the Champion be on very strict supervision short of actually being jailed. Despite Hawke's continued aid to the Order, Meredith shortens Hawke's leash with every incident of dark magic until coming up with an extreme measure that allows her to put a knight in Hawke's home by way of a marriage. Of course there is a stipulation or two: No one is to know that the marriage is a sham and the union MUST remain annullable. The arrangement is surprisingly pleasant until Anders resurfaces and Hawke has to choose between friendship and duty and something else.

The New Order
After suffering a terrible loss, Cullen and his still loyal knights make their way to the Divine as per the orders of a dying Seeker and are met on the way by a full garrison of knights, led by a staunch commander that challenges him at every turn. He resolves not let her fall down the same spiral as Meredith and begins a radical restructuring of the order, a move that will either condemn him or immortalize him.
