He's written the story/romances to some of the most popular characters like Alistair... unless I've got that completely wrong? Hang on, lemme double check that.

What I don't understand is that the character you describe as being a bad example of what "BioWare but not Gaider" would do with Cullen is exactly Fenris.  Who was written by... David Gaider.

Lol I was only messing around when I made that comment. Because everyone always complains about Fenris' brooding, Anders complaints about the Mage situation and Sebastian's constant religious talk. It was suppose to be joke.

Oh I know I was like hey my warden isn't a ball and chain, or scary lol. Luckily I guess my wardens an Amell anyway so it's not my canon. Actually I can't decide on whether I wan't to use my Amell/Alistair playthrough as my cannon or my male Cousland/Morrigan one since it's the bioware cannon
 I do hope they fix Alistair's face though, and Zevran's oh god...
And Teagan! He was such a hottie in dao and in da2 he looked like a tucan or something

I think maybe Steve Valentine (Alistair's voice actor) just didn't quite deliver the line in a way which sounded like a joke, instead it came out sounding slightly resentful lol. I kept him as a Warden in my game and when he did finally mention my Warden he chucked Hawke an amulet or something and said "here, she would have wanted you to have this" as if my Warden had died or something! 

Maybe the romance flags glitched with him or something? His dialogue about the Warden Queen being a ball & chain sounded more like it was from the arranged political marriage you can get him and the Warden into if the weren't in a romance.

HAHA!  Tucan!!!! 

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought Teagan looked better in DAO.

I always thought he was only suppost to give the amulet if she did die. I don't have a warden import so i'm not quite sure. And he did sound like that didn't he? Well even in Origins it doesn't sound like he really wants to get married lol. I tried it once and just ended up being his mistress the rest of the time, I felt like before I was forcing him into it or something. It would of been nice if he purposed or something...

Really? Shiiiit, my Warden didn't die! I wonder what he's supposed to say when she's alive and in a romance with him? What's he doing giving away the Wardens belongings anyway? Surely he'd want to keep that close to him if she's supposed to be dead? Damn you Alistair.

I don't think even when it comes to the time he goes to Orzammar to wander mindlessly, unless he overate before that time, I seriously doubt he'd look as horrific and as unrecognizable as he does in this picture lmfao.

There's also a glitch on the Zevran romance I believe so apparently over half the romances are glitched, the onyl that isn't is Morrigan then. There's also a glitch where Nathaniel is dead in DA2 if you don't take him with you to fight the mother so I imagine he's dead in over half the games. 

Another Cullen question, did you guys prefer the Cullen from dao or da2? In both looks and personality wise

I think he's hot in both games, but more so in da2.  Personality wise, I'd say DAO.

That's why I worry about the DA2 imports, especially if it takes into account the DA:O import too.

Anyway back to Cullen! I prefer Cullen's looks in DA2 because he looks younger and he has better teeth lol, in DA:O he had a very weathered face, like he hadn't slept for weeks... then again, he was probably wrecked with guilt over obsessing after a Mage LOL. Personality wise it's a tough one, I loved how flustered he got in DA:O, it was very sweet but in DA2 he has a greater depth of character and has grown up a lot.

It's always hard to tell with NPC's because you never get to talk to them enough on a personal level to get a good idea of what they're like. It could be that his personality in DA3 will revert back to the way it was in DA:O if he starts to fall for your character. Since he didn't fancy Hawke in DA2 we only saw "professional Cullen" rather than "Infatuated Cullen."

I think I'll be a bit offended if he doesn't at least get a little tongue tied when talking to my new character in DA3 when she pursues him lol.

Something I really like about Cullen is that he surprised us all. At the start of DA:O he seems very meek, nervous and a bit of a push over, so when you arrive at the Circle later on in the game and discover that ****s hit the fan, the first person you'd think would have given into the demons and died would be Cullen, then you find him in that cage at the top of the stairs and he's the only Templar left that's alive, he summoned enough mental strength and resilience to withstand weeks/months of torture. Then at the end of DA:O you find out in the epilogue that he goes a little mental and gets sent away to recover and you think "aw, poor guy he's gone mad" then suddenly he appears in DA2 as Knight Captain and manages to hold the line and take control of everything as Meredith slowly starts to go mad, whilst still battling with his past and his own inner demons, then finally at the end of DA2 he surprises you once again by disobeying Meredith, sparing those 3 mages and sides with Hawke either bowing to him at the end (if you sided with the Templars) or letting you escape (if you sided with the Mages/are a Mage.) He successfully manages to be a constant source of surprise over the course of 2 games!

Now, if that isn't a strong character worthy of companion/LI status I don't know what is!
