Not necessarily. "Self-selecting" is a very specific term that is used in the world of research design. DG's phrase "self-selecting surveys" is probably refering to this: bioware's surveys are filled out by people who go out of their way to volunteer to take the survey. This means that they aren't the same as the average gamer or the average person who purchases bioware games, and self-selected participants are more likely to be extra enthusiastic about whatever it is you are collecting data on -- in this case, DA3. Extra-enthusiastic people will give you data that isn't the same as the normal gamer population and it is hard to make conclusions from self-selected survey participants because they don't represent the average person who walks into a store and purchases a game like DA3.
True. So I guess he's either sarcastically suggesting those survey leaks were fake, or confirming that they could be real. Confusing.
