Not necessarily. "Self-selecting" is a very specific term that is used in the world of research design. DG's phrase "self-selecting surveys" is probably refering to this: bioware's surveys are filled out by people who go out of their way to volunteer to take the survey. This means that they aren't the same as the average gamer or the average person who purchases bioware games, and self-selected participants are more likely to be extra enthusiastic about whatever it is you are collecting data on -- in this case, DA3. Extra-enthusiastic people will give you data that isn't the same as the normal gamer population and it is hard to make conclusions from self-selected survey participants because they don't represent the average person who walks into a store and purchases a game like DA3.

True. So I guess he's either sarcastically suggesting those survey leaks were fake, or confirming that they could be real. Confusing.

I really want info about DA3! I've been keeping my cool but the more we speculate, the more it seems like the game has been officially announced and he's listed among the companions. Even those who don't like Cullen seem resigned to the reality of him being in DA3. They might want an option to kill him or not recruit him but even they think it seems obvious to put him in. What gives Bioware? First there were teases of info and right when we were expecting the official announcement... nothing. It seems odd to hear the Dragon Age devs hinting at working on projects for so long without an actual "thing" to talk about. What are they working on if not Dragon Age 3? They're not really going to surprise us if they say "We're making a third game" at this point. So why not just announce the game and be done with it?

I feel the same way lol...I had to get a new 360 a week after ME3 came out<_<........I got to the last big fight and it just stopped working

Nope, I'm pretty sure it's still be on the current gen. It has been in development for a while. I doubt they would waste resource to convert everything to next gene, especially considering people want the next game to be perfect to make up for the ending of ME3 and storyline of DA2.

It is starting to feel a bit ridiculous now isn't it. Like when you've discovered that someone's throwing you a surprise birthday party and you've made it clear to all those involved that you know what they've got planned, but they still insist on jumping out from behind the table and shouting surprise... Then expect you to be surprised, like you didn't have a clue lol.

the new xbox 720s are coming out in 2013...i also heard EA will finsh...starting new game projects by new year

I thought it was coming out in 2014? Either way, if it coming out in 2013, then they'll have DA3 out a few months before that.

What do you mean by "finish starting new projects"? As in they'll have finished pre-production and start making the new games? Or they'll have official announced all the new games they are currently working on?

Damn, I hope we don't have to wait 4 months for any more info. If those survey leaks our fake, then we've had no news since April at PAX east. So much for being open and transparent with the production process this time round lol.

I'm sorry I couldnt find it.....but what I remeber it saying was that...EA will not start any new game projects for the 360 after 2012.....because they will be going into the 720(do you get what I'm saying now?)

Exactly! I mean, I understand they're going to keep the big secrets, like who's a LI and who's not, under their hat but the waiting is hard when they keep tossing stuff out there and yet the game's not official. And when asked, they go "Well we know there's been a lot of talk about DA3 but don't read too much into the rumors until we have official news" and I just sit and think "What rumors? What talk? There wouldn't be any if you guys kept all mention of it to yourselves! The game was a shoe-in announcement a few months back and now you're acting like it's not there? The rumors we dissect are because of the things they say and do." So it's getting rather irksome. I hope it's just because of some bueraucratic nonsense in the company that has them tongue-tied and they're just trying to keep us in the loop however minimally, rather than the devs being epic trolls.

Ah! Yeah that makes sense then. So DA3 will likely be the last Bioware game available on this gen consoles. Let's hope they make it a good one then. Still, at least we know it'll definitely be out in the next year and a bit.
