Oh, in my Dragon Age games, if he gets laid by anyone other than my warden, I'd/I'll be so pissed at him lol. I'm the type of girl who likes their character to be the first and last for that guy to have sex with.

What about the new PC if Cullen's a love interest? It's ok for the DA3 main character to shag him right? Since our Warden can't.

Mmm.... I can't answer that--at least not for my warden.  Since I have my fan fic, I'm going to make him faithful to her through life and death. :happy:

Well, I'll have to see when the game comes out--how good the story is and if you have different origins to play through, different races. I'm leaning towards maybe in one or two playthroughs, yes, but most of the other times I won't.

Sex has always been a sensitive subject with me.   I don't know why , but I can't help put my real personal feelings about it into my character's feelings.

And yeah...I can already hear myself crying to my boyfriend how pissed I am if that was the case lol.

What if there's only the choice of a human again like in DA2? Or a Dwarf?

Nooooo ); but but they have to! There's even more fan demand for him than I think there was for Anders! They're got to use him, right?

I hope so! I wonder what his reaction would be if you romance him as the new character and he's with you when you run into your Warden mage in DA3 (if that were to happen.)

My Warden only has eyes for Alistair so it wouldn't be a problem for her. Cullen, on the other hand I'd hope my new character would have well and truly cured him of his infatuation with my Warden and all would be fine.

Random thought: What if DA3 had little cut scenes interwoven when you're in a romance? Nothing big, and it wouldn't even necessarily involve dialogue. The occasional trailing of fingers down your PC's arm or spine or a brushing of hands. Maybe some stolen glances. A quick smooch when no one's looking. Would that not add a level of intimacy with the LI? I was just thinking about what Bioware could do to help fill in that void I felt with companions and LI's.

And why no gifties for the PC? Alistair gave you a rose. Your character runs around giving everyone little trinkets. What about getting something yourself once in a while? Sheesh! Ingrates. LOL

Agree. I thought there was a "flirt" mod for DA:O that tried to add stuff like that. That would be a great addition! But, I'll settle for just getting to chat and kiss whenever I want. Also, love the "gift" idea. Even Varric got Anders' pillow for Christ's sake! LOL

OH, also, want to nip in the bud all that talk of him sleeping with Meredith. Someone actually asked David Gaider flat out, and he said nope, never. NEVER! *phew*

re: Cullen's age, I think that's potentially one of the downsides of a DA3 romance, unfortunately. If it takes place after DA2 he'll be at least in his thirties, and likely the new PC will be young and untested (level 1 after all). So probably another twenty-something like Warden and Hawke. Ten years isn't insurmountable and they've sort of done it with Anders already, but he certainly would be more... experienced.

Although that could be an interesting counterbalance, if our PC is um experienced in other ways that he is not... Hmm, I may need to take that back as a downside...

I'd love that! I've been saying for years that Bioware games should include subtle moments of intimacy in their games to make the relationships feel more immersive. 

For example, you're running around Orlais or something and the banter between your character and potential LI should gradually change over time from general friendly talk to flirty exchanges, slips of the tongue where your LI says something by accident that reveals that he's got a crush on you etc. And then during cut scenes maybe your character and LI stand slightly closer to each other than they would if it was just a platonic relationship, or they'd exchange wistful looks, flirtly glances or check each other out the other isn't looking. On the other end of the spectrum it would be awesome if your companions would make insulting jibes and give you evil looks behind your back if you've been horrible enough to make them dislike you... I wonder how much work it would take to impliment all those extra little scenes for each companion, perhaps it would take up too many resources or cause potential problems and that's why the don't add them to their games.

Something else I found was missing, especially in DA2 and ME3 was the LI never really reacted when something bad would happen to you and visa versa, for example in ME3 Kaidan tells Shepard that his dad is missing in action, rather than giving him a hug, she just says "I feel for you Kaidan" and left it at that. Or when your love interest comes to rescue you in the MotA dlc and they say something like "thank the Maker, I thought I'd lost you" and Hawke just stares blankly and doesn't react.

As for gifts, I was gutted when I couldn't give Anders a new cat to replace Sir-pounce-alot, he could have easily kept a cat in Hawke's house when he moved in AND it would have made for some extra scenes with Dog where he chases it around the room or something. I'd like for companions to give gifts to our character as well, even if it's something daft like a joke gift and a useful item.

The age gap could work out quite well since beyond the Templar order I can't imagine he's had much life experience in terms of the every day social interactions between people etc... I don't think he's ever had the chance to just be "Cullen" so the new PC could help him learn a few life skills and teach him to enjoy life beyond his duty, whilst Cullen helps the PC become a battle hardened, seasoned fighter etc.

Potentially it could be quite a nice dynamic that we haven't seen in the Dragon Age games yet, even if you don't take him on as a lover.
