I don't know how they would implement it, but TBH multiplayer with NWN was actually cool. I only had one friend who also played, but it was kinda cool going through a dungeon/quest with him. It was a way to extend my enjoyment of the game after the single player campaign. But also, most of those quests were made by players, since there was a toolset and active support for developers. If all multiplayer content depends on official devs... hmm... I supposed I imagine them being limited.LolaLei wrote...

I don't like the thought of there being a multiplayer, it seems so odd and not Dragon Age...
Part of me kinda likes the idea of stabbing up bad guys and monsters with my friends online, but at the same time I'd be concerned that multiplayer would take resources and money away from the main game. But I guess it all depends on how much EA is willing to sink into DA3 really.
I wouldn't mind multiplayer or co-op either, as long as the resources used to make it don't affect the main story and game. That's whats gonna get people to buy the game after all, not if I can chop up darkspawn with my buddy. I'd much rather they put the effort into better companion conversations/cutscenes truth be told.
Exactly. Online multiplayer doesn't make for a good storyline lol.

Thats my fear, I'm just afraid they'll spend time on that instead of the story. If the story is very good and they focus on it most, then by all means have multiplayer, I mean, its not like I'll be forced to play with people..
I never played Baulder's Gate multiplayer so when I think multiplayer I think, Halo or Call of Duty...

Waves of bad guys we have to kill or something probably, whilst we have to do mini quests, like protect some random NPC or something. Kinda like the ME3 multiplayer.

If you use mod for ME3, would you get banned? Sometimes after I finish a game, I usually mod for God mode just to blast everything away. I'm thinking of making a clean file to play online. Also, in that clean file, would clothing mod be banned?
I'm not sure. I presume thats for the PC version right?

I'm not good at understanding things, so..yeah, not sure what to make of it. Does this confirm multiplayer then?
Funny you should mention this, I just found this thread that Gaider just posted in regarding the very issue:

I would imagine clothing mods are fine, I've seen a fair few of them floating around and they haven't been banned yet.

I dont know why, but I always get crazy excited when I see Bioware people being super active on the threads. It's like "Omg they're alive! Despite there being no official announcements, I have high hopes that they'll actually talk about stuff!"

The mods (moderators) in the Dragon Age 2 forum that monitor all the threads and make sure nothing untoward is going on (like bullying, unrelated topics etc) have gone on a mass thread locking spree, closing down lots of the threads/topics.

Me too. It makes me wonder if we're approaching some sort of announcement or something. But I think they are just doing damage control due to EA's latest revelations.

The way he was with Beatrice, is kinda how I can see him being with our protagonist to begin with lol.

Cos I can see them locking loads of them in the main forum lol. They won't shut this thread down, they have no reason to. Generally they tend not to touch the fan threads.

Being a woman herself and a fan its probably killing her not to be able to really chat with us. I know it would kill me. Maybe her coming on here when she did was her way of confirming our suspitions with out really saying. She knows we're not stupid. Anyway my delution of why she may have come here is a nice one.littlenikki wrote...
Is it odd that a lot of the devs don't post in this particular thread? So far, I've only seen posts from Tonia, and it looks like that happened pretty recently. I guess them not being able to discuss anything about the next game kind of makes it hard to jump in.
