What if we end up being Orlesian? OMG, and having a voiced actor for our protagonist...ick...sorry not loving that accent. If we end up Orlesian how much you want to bet we get a bird as a pet...lmao

I wouldn't mind, I mean, I don't think I've ever played as a protagonist with a French accent before, so it'll be fun! Providing we don't have a pantomime French accent or anything lol.

I wonder, if the new protagonist is Orlesian, will they go for what people consider to be the "typical French look", so maybe the default female will have dark/black hair, a beauty spot somewhere on her face and pouty red lips lol.

Oh and hey, off topic but she does a lot of our fave Fan drawings. Amio's bday is in 7 days.

Jakface's birthday is in September, too, if I remember correctly.

Lots of us Sebtember babies^_^

I don't mind a French accent.... so long as it's an ACTUAL French accent and not someone that sound like Pepe le Pew.

"typical french look" ... I always either picture mimes or that chic Amelie with the short little dark bob cut. Beauty mark is optional. lol

See, even if they can't give us longer hairstyles due to clipping issues, they could give us better up-styles. I mean, they didn't even give us Morrigan's hairstyle in DA2, which is quite pretty.

Oh I hope we're not Orlesian. Can you imagine the guy Protaganist ( Total wussy ) sounding I think.

Yeah, the dark bob or something French looking lol. Maybe not mimes... although that would be one way to give people back the silent protagonist!

Not at all! I have a male French friend who doesn't sound wussy.

The beauty mark isn't necessarily particularly French in my mind, but it would be cool if the protagonist or an NPC had one, since they opted out with Leliana in the first game.

On a side note, did anyone else appreciate talking to Riordan in origins? Real French accents, please.

Anyway, chances are we'll get the generic English accent again just because it's easiest to understand and people over seas seem to like it.

No way... all the chef instructors when I went to culinary school were French and it was kinda hot! LOL And I once dated a Frenchie that spoke very little English but I couldn't have cared less... he was probably dog cussing me the whole time. Ha!

Edit :Watch, the soundtrack to Orlais will be an Edith Piaf tribute. We'll all be marching to our deaths wailing the final chorus of "Je Ne Regrette Rien". Image IPB

Well I hope you get to pick where your protagonist is from, but you don't have to really worry about that and they just slap you with a reg accent. Ooooh I would love to have an accent like Seb

Lol Seb's Scottish accent was awesome! It was quite a light though, compared to some of the heavy regional Scottish accents that can be really hard to understand to the untrained ear.

Didn't nean to offend. It may be a American thing it may be just me. A Orlesian Protaganist male just doesn't seem so tough.

No more wussy than some of our English regional accents. Especially the super posh ones.

Actually, when I played through Awakenings, and didn't import my warden, I remember being distinctly disappointed when my "orlesian" warden commander only had the regular voice options, lol

Still definitely hoping for Cullen to try speaking it in DA3 ;)

Lol that would be hilarious!  Greg Ellis does some of the funniest voices ever, so you can bet your arse that it would be entertaining!

Oh I'd really like to have the protagonist talk like Sebastian. Better yet, I'd love to have Sebastian return so he can take his Starkhaven back. But I wouldn't mind an orlesian protagonist as long as he doesnt sound like the male version of Isolde hehe.

Reminds me of the best fight scene ever in Bridget Jones Diary between Hugh Grant and Colin Firth:     Better than any girl fight I've ever seen! Hahaha!
