So they've confirmed that the art style will be pretty much the same as DA2 then?

Nah didn't find anything at all. Maybe it was only mentioned in a thread or passing twitter comment. I wouldn't mind visiting the Ferelden Circle with Cullen.
Hmm...maybe that'll be part of his personal quest? *waggles eyebrow* I can only imagine that would be extremely traumatic for our poor templar
That would be pretty awesome! Perhaps he'd insist on going there because it's something he feels that he needs to do, in order to put some old issues to rest... face his fears so to speak. Maybe he'd go off and do it by himself, or maybe he'd ask you to come with him for moral support (especially if you're friendship is high and/or you're trying to romance him.)
Omg, I hope he doesn't dump us at some point
I wouldn't be surprised if he did, but perhaps that would be too similar to Fenris' romance arc.

The exact question was whether they would be rolling back the art style to something else, like NWN. The designer said we like the DA2 style. then Mike Laidlaw talked about how we only got to see the art style for just the Free marches (as opposed to seeing the variety in DA:O between, like the circle and the brecilian forest), and that now we'll get to the DA2 art style in a variety of different environments.LolaLei wrote...

I think he'll be a bit of a tough nut to crack regardless of your protagonists class, but I'm hoping it'll be that little bit harder if you're a mage. Hell, maybe he won't date you at all if you are lol.

I do love the notion of him having to back their and face his demons. But I think that would have to incidental to some more concrete quest, like needing something from the dungeon there... or fixing a hole in the Veil that pops up there...LolaLei wrote...

Q: My question is, without breaking your NDA, is, back in Neverwinter Nights there was this small company called Rust Monkey by Dan Thorgen (?). Are you guys going to look at going back to that type of art style for Dragon Age III, hypothetically?
A Mike: Uhm... so, like moving back to art style from...?
Q: Yeah, like Neverwinter Nights on cutscene style.
A Mike: I think... I dunno. Shane, any thoughts?
A Shane: I think we did an amazing job remarketing DA for DA2, and we definitely wanna build on that.
A Mike: There's a note there, I think, is that I think there's a bit of a confusion around looking at DA2 and thinking that that's the art style for the entire universe, when in fact, like for the environments, for instance, that's the art style for the Free Marches, or Kirkwall, or specifically Tevinter slave breaking camps. The lack of travel, the lack of seeing the different spaces means that there wasn't the kind of visual variety that you saw when you moved say, between the Brecillian Forest, down to Ostagar, and so on. And I think that's something we want to make sure and get back so you can see how this art style expands across the world.

Hmm, good question. The fixed protagonist wasn't exactly super popular from DA2. I wonder if they'll loosen that and just call you by your title. I bet that becomes pretty limiting after a while tho...

The new protagonist is bound to have a surname that he/she will be refered to. But perhaps he/she will be given a nickname too, along the same lines of how James Vega calls Shepard Lola or Loco. I imagine the LI would probably call the protagonist something like "love" like Anders did.

Doesn't really answer the question of whether or not it'll be the same sort of art style though. I mean, sure Orlais will be prettier than Kirkwall, but will the basic style of the graphics used be much the same? That's what I wanna know. Basically, will Cullen look like he did in DA2 or will he have a complete overhaul like he did between DA:O and DA2.
