I've had a look on both their twitters and I don't see anything that looks like their trolling. Which specific tweets are you looking at that they've made?

Speaking of which, I missed one of the Sprint Review tweets:

"Oops got distracted by the purdy arts. #sprintReviewDay"

Just dumb stuff about Moobaris and Meowbaris and a announcement toward the end of the year all very vauge.

I saw Melos tweet about that.

That's part of their Sprint Review Day tweets. The meowbari/moobari thing is just a joke, basically every three weeks they review what they've all been working on in a meeting. Then Mark Darrah and co tweet about it, the tweets are based on a mix between things they are seeing during the meeting (like concept art etc) and silly things they joke about during the meeting. It's nothing to worry about or anything.

I have seen the tweet about the end of the year announcement, but I'll go have a look.

Though a Meowbari that would be huge like a Sabertooth would be Awesome.

Not much, we were discussing lyrium and whether the recruits take it early in their career. And whether or not Cullen's dark circles are due to lyrium addiction or deprivation lol.

Maybe a combination of both.

I think they start taking Lyrium when they actually start training as a Templar, in order to harnest their abilities.

I don't think a petition is necessary.

Lyrium addiction for the circles. Deprivation for the DARK circles. Maybe it's like when ball players hold out on the lovin' to make them play more agressively.

Ok so I've been thinking about this petition and I don't think it's a wise idea.

The problem with petitions is that due to recent ME3 related events, they now have a stigma of "self entitled gamers" attached to them. If we make a petition demanding Cullen as a companion/LI we're gonna come across as aggressive and spoilt. Plus, we don't even know if he's even a companion or not yet, we'd look stupid if we kick up a fuss over nothing. I don't want to turn people against us, not when we've been doing so well at getting Cullen's name out there. Upsetting the devs/writers would be counterproductive.

It doesn't have to be a demand.I see your point very clearly there has to be a nice way of doing it. Anyway as I said before its just a suggestion.

My personal two cents is that the best time for a petition was right after DA2 released or when DA3 talk began to circulate. Now seems a bit late. To me anyway...

I have to agree. A year ago a petition would have been a great idea, but after everyone's tantrums about DAII and ME3 the developers are really touchy when anyone sounds like they're trying to force them to do anything.

What could be really persuasive though is if we sent a bunch of Cullen-inspired art and cute, funny short stories to the devs. I know other people have made them homemade Alistair dolls or DA sketches and they hang those up their office and stuff! We could "spread the love" as it were. You know how granny used to say it - "You'll draw flies better with honey than with vinegar."

We wouldn't even need to work on it together. We could just each email them something or put it on a tumblr and then send them the link.  Image IPB

Smart to let the devs know we love Cullen, kelly - I just think a petition might not be the most effective way. You were brainstorming though, so cool. Image IPB

This ^

From all the cryptic tweets, it seems (to me anyway) that they'd already have a good hold on the story already. Tweaking is one thing. Re-writes are time and money.

Agreed. It's their baby, regardless of how many people sign a petition, at the end of the day it's up to them who they put in their game. Of course I'd love for Cullen to be a romancable companion, but if they don't feel he's right then there's little we can do about it.

It was different with Tali and Garrus they were already reoccurring companions. All we can do is let them know he has a fan base and hope they're feeling nice and agree that he's worth of a companion slot.
