I'm sure it also probably had hints of where the whole geopolitical landscape was going, which inevitably will feature in DA3, as well. I'm still sad that their Starkhaven tease didn't pan out... But on the positive side, the devs also themselves referenced those teaser t-shirts, so hopefully some of that... Like Starkhaven will show up.

As for the canceled DLC thing -- they said very little except that it was canceled to work on the next big thing.

"As far as the Exalted March DLC goes, Darrah offered no details. It's not happening now so it's largely a moot point, but perhaps we'll see some of the defunct expansion's story elements roped into the next game."
