He's gonna be a difficult companion to write if they take into account his past experiences, which is why we may not get him as one for that reason. I think they should definitely bring up his "issues" as it's clear that he'd still have a few, especially with the whole Meredith/Templar rebellion thing. I'd like to think that since he appears to suffer in silence and is essentially a militant type, he'd mostly keep his problems to himself as far as constant ****ing is concerned.

I do hope that they'll make the companions more compassionate towards the protagonist if/when he/she goes through a hard time.

Probably trying to be a pacifist. He seems like the monogamous type of guy, so he may be forced to choose one. I kinda hope that the jealous talk from DAO return. I like that the companions force you to choose instead of just giving up on their own like in DA2.

I have always played as a mage in all of my Bioware games. Cullen will be my main file, and if he's not a LI, then I'll go for Cassandra. I would be disappointed if neither of them are LI.

I think the first class I'll play as is a Mage (if Cullen's a romancable companion.) As for personality it depends on what kinda of choices we can make this time round (like the whole snarky, aggressive and diplomatic ones from DA2), usually for my first playthrough I make the choices and reactions that I would if the protagonist was me, to see what the outcome of my actions would be lol.

She also has a conversation with Zevran if you romance both of them. It's funny how petty Morrigan is, but it was pretty hilarious to see someone as calm as Morrigan loses her cool. Bioware used to put a lot of efforts into romance, too. A lot of their core fans love the romance aspect of the game so to see it diminish with each is sad. Mass Effect 1 also has jealous conversation where they force you to choose. I hope they give more thoughts into romance with their next game. Imagine a jealous Cullen. <3

I bet Cullen would have quite a jealous side. I could see him getting a bit sharp with a companion or random NPC trying their luck with the companion.

I don't know. I kinda like it when your loved one gets jealous over you. It shows that they care. I could see Cullen on a bit of a possessive side. I could just imagine him having a stutter while getting mad.

I just have a thought, maybe they should try to add a jealous option so that if you try to flirt with someone while courting your LI, they would get angry. It may seem like an inconvinience but it would make the relationship more realistic IMO.

For once I'd like the choice to romance someone emotionally stable. Maybe someone who has issues, sure, I don't want anyone without their fair share of things to work through, that's boring- but I think I'm tired of having a LI who has to rely on me to babysit their angst.

That's my concern then, with Cullen. He seemed rather calmed down when we saw him in DA2 from DAO- less twitchy for sure. But he's likely to have just as many inner-turmoil issues as anyone, and while I'd love to be able to help him work through them, I don't want him crying on my shoulder every night either, if that makes sense. I want him to be strong, mature, capable, and I want him to grow into being my equal or be my equal, not someone who mopes around behind me ****ing all day about his angst. Does that make sense?

I don't have high hopes for it though with Bioware's history with broody men- but I'm hoping that if a female is truly writing him, she'll give him a set of balls.

I totally agree with you, Avejajed. Whenever I write Cullen, he ends up being more of the strong silent type. He has feelings, sure, but he's also not dumping his sh!t all over you. In fact, I could almost see it being hard to draw that stuff out of him. I just don't see him, as the protective type, even wanting you to fix  his problems for him.

As for jealous, I could totally see it. If he gets far enough that he really cares for someone, I think the jealousy would be a strong and  yet unfamiliar emotion for him. Difficult for him... fun for us...

They usually have 2 options for males. If they choose Cullen as one, I wonder who could the other person be. Hopefully, not another elf, we have like one elf and one human in both games, they need to switch it up a bit. I don't know how I feel about dwarves. I have never found them to be attractive. Varric was pretty awesome though.
