Ah, I like forgotten drink. Maybe I'll go with staring at it. He's basically holding it for appearance's sake... which I've already said, so maybe I'm just belaboring the point. It just... seems there should be a word for that! All I've learned is that undrunken drinks show up in fanfic, and Scrabble does not consider it a word. LOL

When you find a really good....and I mean REALLY good Cullen or Alistair or whatever fic...and you devote yourself to like 5+ hours to reading the damn thing, only to find out that the author hasn't touched it in a bazillion years, left it...or whatever...ahh...I do that to some of my fics, but not dragon age stuff...but I Always go back to them at some point...

Hell yes! Especially when you're reading through, waiting to get to the good part when they finally shag and the author ends the chapter before you get to it and never finishes the bloody thing!

K trying to find a fic

Last year, or the year before,

I was reading a Cullen and mage fic. Chicky never becomes a grey warden, but a new templar (Qunari) tries to rape her in a storage room...I can't find it...don't remember the name and don't know if it's ever been up dated....

I'm wondering... Even though the story has so far--with the exception of the prologue--been in the perspective of my mage, do you think it would cause any imbalance with the fact that he's reading her journals, to now-and-then (not all the time) write in his perspective? For example, right now, it is 9:26 Dragon, and on this particular day, I'm having a scene where my character talks to Cullen. I'm at the point though where it was just an exchange of hellos and i hope you've been well (no harrowing yet), why are you stuttering, and a lot of smiling on my character's part--but not intentionally flirting. Being stuck now, I was thinking maybe transisting to his point of view. How he's feeling about her smiles and so forth. What do you all think?

Yeah, I know. I think my fave of his is: "what would you have of me?" It opens up such possibilities in my mind, while he sounds so hilariously suspicious.


And, yeah, I can relate to the significant others. My husband has give up on the Cullen jokes, by and large. He used to shoot me cheesy lines for my fic about him.

Yeah, it could be a kind of look into is own thoughts. It should work.

Go for it. I'm a fan of switching perspective. I've heard something like you shouldn't spend less than 1000 words in a given POV, but ... I'd say, whatever works.

LOL, it was his way of being supportive, I think. He had an ongoing storyline for a while about King Cullen (the name of a local grocery chain) who battled Lord Target (another store chain) or some such. He thought he was being HILARIOUS. Now my three-year old asks, "Daddy, put on your crown. You be King Cullen." Grr...

I'm engaged (for about five years now?) and I feel bad, but sometimes I think, if there is an afterlife, and it is shaped in the way you want it to be, rather than the way that it's described in the holy books, or if we were part of the game....I like to think that Cullen would fall in love with me [to make it sond better, or have my fiance appear in the afterlife as Cullen <.<).
