I Dudditz!!! \\o/ I think I was a bit too wordy in some of the "please explain" fields but, ah well...! Where they ask you to put your thoughts on what you would like to see BSN add to the site, I had to refrain from putting "CULLEN DERSERVES AN OFFICIAL DISCUSSION THREAD!!!" heheheheheeee. Aside from that impulse, I think I kept my composure rather well.

I Dudditz!!! o/ I think I was a bit too wordy in some of the "please explain" fields but, ah well...! Where they ask you to put your thoughts on what you would like to see BSN add to the site, I had to refrain from putting "CULLEN DERSERVES AN OFFICIAL DISCUSSION THREAD!!!" heheheheheeee. I made a Cullen ref. Only that it was one of the reasons I visited the forum LOL. Figured I'd shamelessly throw it in there anyway.

OK... I think I may have come up with my t-shirt design idea. I just might need to have a shirt that says "all your cullen are belong to us" Now I just have to get a dragon age ref in there some how...

That sharing my interests with like mindminded gamers is rewarding and that, to my eternal gratitude, even the smallest NPCs have a bigger life than they do in the games, thanks to the sharing of ideas and fanworks here on BSN...

Ah, that's very eloquent! Alas, more eloquent than I. The closest I came was explaining why like I like the forums... and mentioning that I do tend to stick to the "nice" threads. I should have said, "like the Cullen thread." LOL

Hmmm, did anyone else have problems when trying to fill out the survey? I got to a page that said I was finished, and then it took me back to the survey again o.O

Anyway, I said the biggest problem with the forum was the negativity, and that I stuck to the "nice" threads, like this one (although I didn't mention this one specifically ... should have!!!). And I said they should punish the bad people, not reward the good lol Yeah, I'm bitter :|

In the "explain" section I put that I visit the forums because no one in my real life plays games, so this is the only place I can talk about them and why I love them. Have sinking suspicion it made me sound very pitiful....

haha! The Cullen thread is very nice but I haven't had too much trouble on the others. It has to be a certain set of trolls who get on and make trouble. Overall, I think most of us here on BSN are alright. But then I haven't been on this site as long as many of you. And I try to stay away from topics I disagree with when unbridled squeeing is going on and add my two cents when the discussion is more like a debate. I like a good debate!

Awww! It doesn't! I think it's true for most of us, that we have a hard time finding people in life to enjoy the games with together. I can say I come here to hang out with my Dragon Age peeps. Because I do! There's no shame in that. BioWare devs are gamers at heart. They may have peers in real life now that they make games for a living but they should know what it's like. I know I couldn't forget.

Is it weird that in DA:O I grew more attached to the minor NPC's that were part of our Warden's origin prologue, than I did with Hawke's family in DA2? It's not that I didn't like them or anything, but for some reason the fact that we were essentially ripped from them (either by their death or circumstance) it kinda felt more... bitter sweet. Maybe it's because we were able to experience what our Warden's life was like prior to sh!t hitting the fan, rather than just being throw right into the action with family we as the player had never met like in DA2.

Not alone on this; I agree, experiencing our Warden's life prior to the sh!t fan (lol), is what made things more emotional for me. I'm always sad when the couslands get killed off and the warden's left thinking her brother possibly got killed at Ostagar.
DA2 was pretty sad, but when one of the siblings were killed off..not really the same feeling. But losing Leandra was pretty sad, at least we had time with her.

I've been fortunate that a lot of my friends are into the Mass Effect games, however, not many of them got into Dragon Age quite as much, so talking about it wouldn't particularly interest them. Luckily, I found you guys in here!
