I think they tried too hard to give them shadows and whatnot so they look old. I guess they forgot that firmer skin shouldn't have that many creases, and thus less shadows. A little bit of shading and faint lines at most, is all those hands needs, unless you're Flemeth. :devil:That's a fail-by-trying-too-hard, BioWare. Over. Done. <_<

It's mainly the tips of the fingers where the joint is that's too long. Aside from that they look pretty realistic... apart from the weird shading, but we can blame that on dirt lol.

It was certainly an experience! You don't realise just how serious people take games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age until you upset them! It's almost like they see the characters as real people... mind you, I guess to an extent we treat Cullen like he's real by wanting him in DA3 so that we can romance him, fix him and let him live happily ever after LOL!

Yeah some people take things to far...but like you said we do the same for Cullen...and I'm sure your fine looking lol

The ears in the first game never bothered me too much. I never noticed the hands because I guess I always had gloves on. As for the second game, I always felt that the new textures combined with the slightly more cartoony art style made the characters look like they were wearing silicone masks ... the new ears sometimes look as if they didn't finish sculpting them, or that they cut too much off. lol  At least they will be able to refine the character models for DA3 if they aren't planning on doing the graphics from scratch. I do enjoy the vibrant colour palette.

Oooh! Shirtless Cullen! And Anders doing something strange with his hand. Added coolness!

So, the sister I introduced to DA2 completed her first playthrough as a rogue and is now in Act 3 with her second Hawke, a warrior. I still had to do the Arishok battle for her (she had not won the respect of the Arishok in any way, shape, or form because she somehow imagined that fighting a roomful of qunari plus the Arishok with an under-geared 2-hander with no active talents besides Mighty Blow and Scythe would be easier than facing the Arishok in single combat). I have not yet recruited her to the Cullen fan club, but I'm hoping that her interest in him will improve next game when she tries a mage.
