Oh man... I kinda love this idea. That he's too sensible to get silly about jealousy. Instead it's that steely eye stare that the trespasser gets, that's just between them, as his/her first warning. In fact, I can totally picture a scene where the PC's like, "WTF, weren't you going to even say anything to that Antivan? He was practically drooling on me!"motomotogirl wrote...
Wow, a copThat's so one of my fantasies xD Well, a nice cop. Not the kind that harass inner city kids and what not.
If someone tries to flirt with the PC, my guess is Cullen would handle the situation much more maturely than some of the previous LIs (because I see Cullen as being pretty mature, unlike, say, Alistair). I don't think he would butt in. But he might tell the PC privately that that fellow or floozy had best watch him/herself if s/he knows what's good for him/her lol

I agree....His romance would be so fulfillingLolaLei wrote...
Talking about that whole dating a Templar is probably kinda like dating a cop (in terms of them not speaking about their job/day at work etc) got me thinking about how much your average Templar (including Knight-Captains) actually know about what's going on "behind the scenes" within the Order itself. It seems to me that most of them simply carry out their tasks without question, and the ones that do question it seem to meet grizzly ends either through being naive by succumbing to blood mages or in Cullen's case end up having to fight his boss to the death or be killed like the mages in the Gallows would have been.
I think we've found a rare quality in Cullen because he's always questioned the Order dispite how desperately he wants to believe in them, even after his torture it wasn't long before he started questioning his beliefs again as to whether the methods used in Kirkwall were morally justifiable. In my opinion, the position/situation he's in now makes him the perfect candidate for a companion role in DA3, preferably romancable since it would be nice to see him have a little good luck and happiness in his otherwise sad/depressing/lonely existence. I would also go as far to say that he should be one of (if not the only) plot heavy companion(s) because I think he could seriously be pivotal to the main part of the story that surrounds the Mage/Templar conflict.
... If he isn't a companion in any capacity, then I'll personally feel like the DA team will have missed a huge opportunity with that one.

Casey: Do you have any other thoughts on my post, aside from the romance part? What are your thoughts on the Templars and how much they do or don't know about the shady activities happening behind the Chantry and the Orders closed doors?

I'm not casey, but I'll butt in anywayI think it really depends on their rank more than anything, the same in any type of militaristic structure. Obviously the Knight-Captain is going to have more insight into the going ons on the Order's current duties than a recruit. However, just because he is a superior officer, that doesn't mean he knows everything. The REALLY important stuff probably just stays between the highest official in that Circle of Magi, and the leaders of the orders like the Knight Divine and the Knight Vigilant.
I agree. LOLLolaLei wrote...

Lol that's ok, the question was open to everyone.
See, I'm wondering just how much the higher ranking Templars actually know. Are the Knight-Commanders even fully aware of what was truly going on between the Chantry and Lambert etc.
