I can't wait to get paid so I can finally buy the DA books
Lucky, there's a Barnes and Noble here in my hometown, but the books are mostly sold out, so I have to wait until I move back to LA and hope they don't sell out by then. Fingers crossed I'm not too late so I don't have to order online and waste money on shipping. lol

I think that even if we don't travel the "globe" as it were that if they really put a lot of details into the areas that we visit say in Orlais that it will be fine. I'd rather they focus on one country so that we can fully experience the culture like we did in Ferelden.
The Free Marches is a melting so there wouldn't be a solid culture so seeing Kirkwall only was fine, but I wouldn't have minded Starkhaven
And that pic...why...why....*hangs himself*
What picture?
This one?

Lol. Sorry I had to do it
Oh and I would love to visit Starkhaven.

LOL Sorry! Maybe this is a better comparison. I just realized today what Cullen's furry collar outfit reminds me of. Dunno if anyone remembers the western movie Silverado, that came out in the eighties with Kevin Kline. The "bad" sherrif was played by Brian Dennehy and his outfit was alot like that. I haven't been able to track down a good pic of it. But here's his furry collar, which you can kinda sorta see.

Anyway... that's a slightly more manly comparison... or is that more... macho...? ...or just less... naked? There were a lot of furry collars in that one.
edit: another furry collar

I'd get them at a library, but I'm the type of person who has to own it. lol
If barnes and noble's shipping is slow, then I'll go for amazon.

Anyway Cullen seems like he'll be fulfilling his Witch Hunter duties in DA 3 if nothing else he seems to be a bit less hmm put together? Clothes can say a lot about a charcater and right now they are screaming.
Maker NOOOOOO
Not that he's sloppy just a bit less city defense templar and more I'll follow you to the gates o hell!!
Just my 2 cents

I thought it was pretty good. Most folks seem to think it's the best written. Personally, I found the story continuation from DA2 pretty essential reading. I was a bit more interested in the lore than in the LOTR epic quest, but that was cool too.

LOL I kinda like the devil may care aspect of it... but I question whether he'd really be a Witch Hunter in the next one. If he is... I hope part of our quest is to smack him around and make him come to his senses that that's "not what being a templar is about" either.Danny Boy 7 wrote...

I think the outfit Cullen is wearing indicates that he may have even left the templars ... which seems totally ooc for him. So now I'm think he might be a double agent. Which would break my heart!

You know I wonder about this. It's not standard issue breastplate anymore... but it does seem to still have the sword of mercy on the skirty part. Maybe he's still a templar, but he's been demoted to a desk job! LOL Ah, double agent would be an interesting idea as well.

Hmm, that's what I used to think, too, but now I'm not so sure. It looks to me that it might just be heavy armor with a coat over it... so maybe he really is somewhere much colder. Heh, maybe we'll go south of those mountains at the bottom of Ferelden!

It might be that he's a ronin type of character, doesn't really have anywhere to go. He's still part of the "Templars" in that he is a loyalist, but with the way things are going who's going to trust random foreign templar guy? I always figured that for Cullen to join the party he'd have to have been kicked from the order or have very little pull anymore and the only way to do what he thinks needs to be done is to join the PC.
As for my Witch Hunter comment I meant more in regards to the actual hunting and not the killing. He could also be this nameless templar who's out in the woods protecting a village/town from the war. Someone could mention him the same way Anders was mentioned in Dragon Age 2.
"A grey warden running a clinic."
PC enters Jader looking for someone with a working knowledge of current Templar activities and the mayor points you towards the templar hermit protecting the town.
