1. A festival or holiday
2. LIs that actually react appropriately to the PC's decisions. I detest that they object and then do nothing.
3. I want missions that can be done in different ways if you have certain companions in your group, like Varric in Wayward Son.
4. I'd love to customize my companions to how they best suit my play through.
5. Absolute choices. I want to be able to make a choice and have that choice negate the other possibilities or make only certain consequences as a result. The whole Meredith/Orsino thing comes to mind as what I don't want.
6. I want a better paced companion dialogue system. Being able to pick all my companions' brains about whatever we're doing, like Alistair and all those Grey Warden questions, but more and have them regard the situation at hand.
7. Which brings me to... romances. It'd be nice if those could be tailored to have one tone or another. How you choose to respond to your LI determines the romance's overall tone and therefore how the lovescene plays out.
8. Lovescenes... less cheese please! Well some were cheesy... and the dry humping fully clothed thing has got to go. I'm not saying I want porn! But I wanna see clothes disappearing. I wanna see sweet gestures and giggling and maybe a little rough housing. You can do a love scene without making it pornographic!
9. I want to know more about what Flemeth is.
10. And I want to know more about the Old Gods.
11. How does too much death in one place weaken and sunder the Veil?
12. Warriors and mages should be able to learn lockpicking.
13. Mages can fight too with training! I want battle mage to be a real battle mage - the way Hawke was shown as in the DA2 trailer!
And I agree with motomotogirl: Pants for mages! Some armor too!

YES! Mages don't cast spells if they're around "regular" people and can be caught. Instead they fight with other weapons OR they use their staff as a bad ass weapon!!

Yeah that's a good idea; the battlemage thing to hide their magic from the public. To be honest, I always found it kind of story-breaking in DA2 how Meredith and her templars cracked down hard on mages and tried their utmost to find apostates to bring to the Circle, yet Hawke was able to cast spells not only in front of Cullen during Enemies Among Us but also in the middle of the Gallows during the Prologue with no consequence from the templars whatsoever.

1. pants for mages ... yup, that may need to be a new banner!!
2. NO fade (after two games and a couple of books... gah, tired of being the only person in Thedas who regularly gets sucked in there conscious!).
3. Orlesian ball FTW!! (edit... wow, dyslexic today?)
4. LI regular interactions... they respond to jealousy, you can talk to them whenever, snog them whenever.
5. Cullen as LI. (duh, but can't be said enough)
Also like the battlemage thing!

I'd love for DA3 to have a specialization similar to Arcane Warrior in Origins. On the same note, I liked how in Origins, a lot of the specializations were unlocked in the story or through companions (blood magic via the desire demon possessing Connor, and duelist by meeting Isabela).
Agreed. I loved how some of the specialisations were tied into the story/quests. I vaguely remember Mike Laidlaw and David Gaider saying they were thinking about having us pick between 2 or 3 specialisations at the beginning that would affect the storyline accordingly.

What are your major "wants" in DA3? (Aside from better character creator options/races/choices that matter/ working import flags)
Mine are:
1) Cullen as a romancable companion (obviously lol)
2) Some sort of playable prologue/origin where you get to experience the protagonist's life prior to his/her big adventure
3) More interaction with our companions (something akin to DA:O)
4) Romances that add an extra dimension to the story
5) Romances that don't feel shallow or rushed
6) Interaction between protagonist and LI throughout the game, not just during their quests
7) Orlesian masquerade ball
8) A home base that changes depending on environment/situation (sometimes outside, sometimes inside etc)
9) Weather - perhaps some quests could happen during a storm/snow/sunset/sunrise etc.
10) Clarification of just how aware Cullen was about the shady deeds going on in the Gallows
11) Pretty/stunning environments
12) Fights/battles that make use of the surrounding environment (like the final boss fight in MotA)
Ok I like the question. This is being answered by my daughter and I . She wanted to chime in. 1) She wants a mount.( Horses or Griffons) 2) Cullen as companion LI as good as Alistair was! 3) She wants Cole for alternate LI. 4) A LI that is Tall Dark and Handsome as my alternate LI. 5) Have something like our campsite in DAO but like a Keep that we could actually use unlike Soldiers Peak. 6) A Ball too so we can dress pretty and wear a gown. 7) Should have been closer to the top, Replayability! 8) To be able to talk to our companions more to get to know them better like DAO. 9) More intimacy with LI! 10) Arcane Warrior was a fav of mine. 11) Lots of side quests for exploring the country. 12) More options and consequences for alternate endings. 13) Varric as companion. 14) Isabella as companion. 15) Lots more places to go in the country. I better stop we could go on forever.

I want to be able to play it a couple of times at least and get different endings in a sense for replayability Bioware is usually good for that anyway. Especially since its not a ending trilogy.LolaLei wrote...
I don't mind there being less specialisations if it means that it will have some impact on the story in some way.

I'd like something like that, especially if you play as a blood mage. It was a bit strange to play DA2 as a blood mage without a single mention from any of the characters (Origins too, I suppose, but it was more pronounced given the plot in DA2).

How ironic is it that we didn't (often) get pants as a Mage but our fancy dress to MOTA's noble party was a pantsuit??

You know this could be a cool aspect to the companion customization they showed us. Imagine Cullen decked out in formalwear for a ball... that somehow still has his signature style/look, like a subtle sword of mercy somewhere.LolaLei wrote...
