I would imagine, with DA3 using and engine like Frostbite 2 they'd want to take advantage of it's capabilities and really go all out on the whole games appearance. And you never know, maybe we'll get more realistic hairstyles this time round? Maybe even longer hairstyle without having to worry about clipping?

I would to..and I saw a good amount of people saying better hair..so hopefully they listen.

Didn't they say they were going to make the customization better? Or maybe I'm getting things super confused with all these people talking now, ha.

I could be totally wrong but the only thing I saw having to do with customization was for armor...maybe if we got one we'll get the other...

Omg, so those leaked surveys were real after all! Which means those pictures of Cullen were legit too? Which means there's a high chance that we will indeed be getting him as a companion (either romancable or other.)

So Tonia your with us huh? Cullen for LI and companion LOL:O

LOL that was smooth!

LOL Just wondering if shes a fangirl too? Us girls can wish.

I think there's two answer for this...either she is a fan girl and he's not going to be in game or is gonna be in game...or she just likes to watch this thread because we're fabulous!

So, Mark Darrah said in his post that "We have been working on it in some way for about two years now with the bulk of our efforts ramping up about 18 months ago." And DA2 was out in shops in March last year, so that means they must have started putting ideas etc in place during the development process of DA2?

Yeah, I'm assuming just as much. I'm really quite surprised that ppl are shocked that it's been in the works this long. DAO  last DLC came out, they were already fleshing out the ideas for DA2, so I am not surprised at all that they've been working on it this entire time. Good for us though! Either this means they are still gonna work on it for some time...or it's mostly fleshy now. I'm hoping for a march release date...but judging by what they are talking about...this new engine...I'm thinking more like closer to next xmas lol

Either way, I'm cool with release date. It's just nice to know for sure that we are not going nuts for nadda lmao<3

So then, if they have been working on it before/during DA2...is that why Cullen's endings for DAO were...whats the term...retcon? no? lol, I don't remember what they call it...Anyway, so maybe they planned to make him a companion for a while?

Geez, so many signs getting my hopes up about our dearest templar!Image IPB

Ok, so here's a concept I was talking about on the previous page, that I came up with aaaaages ago in here for a love scene with Cullen, imagine it as it would look with the frostbite 2 engine:

Riiiiight, imagine a gorgeous lake environment during early evening/nighttime. The sun is rapidly going down as it casts an array of  reds, oranges, pinks and yellows across everything it touches. We find Cullen looking out over water next to a small camp fire, wearing casual clothing (a linen shirt and trousers with boots) clearly deep in thought. Approaching him we make a comment about how beautiful the evening to strike up a conversation *que Cullen giving you more insight into his life past and flirting a bit etc*, after a while the topic turns to his life within the Templar Order, he tells you about how he admires your free spirited, wild nature and how life within the Order is strict and regimented, he can't remember the last time he was just "Cullen" or done something spontaneous. Suddenly you stand up grabbing him by the hand:

Protagonist: Come on!
Cullen: "W-wait... what? Where are we going?"
Protagonist: "For a swim!"
Cullen: "What? N-no.. we can't... I-I mean..."
Protagonist: "Suit yourself!"

With that a cut scene occurs of our protagonist running towards the lake as she pulls off her boots and strips down to her underclothes (a white linen oversized shirt or something... nothing dodgy, otherwise it'll scare Cullen away LOL), she runs into the lake, diving in splashing around, Cullen can be seen looking hesitant, but you can see he's seriously considering taking this opportunity to do something spontaneous and lighthearted/innocent, but he's so used to his regimented lifestyle that he's unsure. "Come in! The waters fine" she calls out. After a few seconds our protagonist disappears under the water, Cullen watches for a few moments, waiting for her to resurface... but she doesn't. Panicking Cullen runs into the water, pulling his boots off he dives in fully clothed looking for her. Seconds later they both pop out of the water gasping for breath, both soaking wet and still floating around in the water:

Protagonist: "Ha! Nice of you to join me!"
Cullen: *Realising she tricked him* "Maker don't ever scare me like that again! I thought you were drowning!"
Protagonist: *Laughs, splashing him*
Cullen: *Grabs our protagonists wrist pulling her directly infront of him, closer whats considered normal* "I'm serious! I thought I'd lost you... I-I couldn't bare it if something was to happen to you... I...."

The protagonist stays perfectly still and silent, looking into his eyes as Cullen also falls silent, for a moment they just look at each other stunned. *Que feverish, lustful kiss that's been building up throughout the game based on sexual tension and longing*:

Cullen: *Pulling away briefly* "I... love you, I've always loved you *insert protagonists surname/nickname that doesn't sound lame*"

*Que sex scene* The scene cuts to them out of the water back on dry land next to the fire. You see strategically angled shots of them getting a bit gropey but you don't actually see any ****** 'n' arse, finally as it goes in for the "climax" you see their silhouettes against the fire in a sitting up position, the protagonist straddling Cullen, as she throws her head back the camera sweeps up across the lake and focuses in on the full moon.

Aaaaaaand that was pretty much my idea. Cheesy, but effective!

I certainly hope so! I want sooo much explored and revealed in the DA universe, that it'll have to run a while to reveal it all! :D NOOOW I feel it's safe to start the speculation! Before it was tough to enjoy theorizing about the future when it wasn't confirmed to happen. We have an announcement - we have our cake! The rest is icing. ^_^
