In the world of Thedas, magically based offenses are considered especially heinous. In Orlais the dedicated warriors who investigate these vicious crimes are members of an elite order known as the Inquisition. These are their stories.
Dum Dum
On a side note it seems an earlier post of mine got swallowed up.
I think it would be cool (for female chars) if while in the Fade Cullen has a bit of PTSD and freaks out and while still there the only way to calm him and get past his fears is to make sweet sweet love to him...what do you think?

First lets run with the concept that the protagonist some how gets mistaken for the one who was supposed to lead the new Inquisition (perhaps you find his/her dead body in the wake of the explosion and discover a scroll or emblem in their hand, which you take/steal thinking it might be worth something or whatever), you stumble out of the wreckage towards the remaining survivors of the peace gathering. The one surviving important members of the Chantry (let's hypothetically say it's the Divine) notices you staggering out, clutching the scroll/emblem in your hand and presumes that you're the Inquisitor. Suddenly people are fussing around you, tending to your injuries (at this stage you're oblivious to your new fate), suddenly the Divine launches into this speech in front of the crowd of people about how you're the new Inquisitor, chosen to lead us to peace blah blah blah. You try to interrupt and explain there's been a mix up but the crowd is cheering and they can't hear you over the noise.
Before you know it, you've been assigned the "Inquisitors cloak", given your task(s) and ushered out the door, you try once again to explain that there's been a mistake but before you can open your mouth the Divine assigns someone to accompany you on your journey. It turns out to be Cullen, who is giving you an untrusting look. Once you're out of earshot, Cullen confronts you about being a mage, he tells you that he sensed it due to his Templar abilities, you explain to him that there's been a horrible mix up and that you'd found the real Inquisitor dead etc. He realises that there is no-one else available to carry out the task, so the pair of you have no choice but to take on this epic quest yourselves, recruiting people to your party as you go.

Lol thanks. I'm just coming up with plausable theories that could throw our protagonist into the role of Inquisitor. Especially if this new organisation will be associated with the Chantry, since a lot of people are currently nerd raging about not having the option to choose our alliances.

Welcome all! Cullen approves!
Gala, did you want to include, I dunno, links to art or fic in the top? Also, I wonder if it would be interesting, for science, to finally make a list somewhere of some of the dev threads on Cullen. You know, like the templars and chastity one. But then, some are now obsolete now (see: Cullen != creepy).
