Well most Seekers are taken from Templar ranks so I can only assume that she does though she may not. As for Cassandra saying well you know, I can see that for a mage where they start with a very antagonistic relationship only but end up being friends but overall if the Divine told her to follow suit I think she would.

I think the Inquisitor will just be in the wrong place at the wrong time and be recruited. Maybe in order to gain their freedom similar to the City Elf origin they are forced into service, taking as either a curse of a chance at a better life depending on how you roleplay them.

I agree with this. Seems to be a running theme in the DA world.

Most if not all Bioware games have a prologue of some sort so I'm sure they will but as you said whether it's satisfying is something else entirely.

Personally while I love DA 2 I was sort of like...

Me: Bethany NOOO

Me: ...

Me: Wait this means I get Carver YAY!!!

Wasn't really broken up about her death. More so I felt bad for Leandra and Carver.

Ha! I rarely play mage so I was always stuck with Bethany. I may well be the only one who found her annoying. I always took her into the Deep Roads - without Anders.

I was thinking, what if the new Inquisiton has been purposely named after a dodgy historical Order, so that it purposely makes our life hard in-game? Like, say we try to assign the mages to help us in our quest but they're all like "balls to that, you'll screw us over like the Inquisition from times of old!"

It may be interesting if whichever you pick (mage, rogue, etc) you'll be thrust into the opposite faction. Like if you choose to play as a mage, you'll be inadvertantly recruited by the Divine or other. If you're a warrior, you're recruited by the mages. Then see where the river takes you via your decisions

That would be a fun way to start out the game. I'm hoping we get some sort of origin to explain how we got ourselves into the situation where we become the head of the Inquisition. I don't really wanna be thrown straight into the role, but I have this feeling that the game will literally start like this:

*Camera pulls a sweeping view across the city of Orlais, showing us how pretty the new Frostbite 2 engine makes everything. Camera goes in for a swooping shot of the Grand Catherdral (or whatever it's called), through the big stain glass window and into the grand hall where are freshly created protagonist is talking with the Divine*

Divine: "Inquisitor, are you ready? You are about to undergo an important quest"

Protagonist: Yes, it is an honor / Sure, because I love doing your dirty work *rolls eyes* / I shall slaughter our enemies!

Divine: "The crowd awaits, let us greet them"

*The Divine yaps on a bit*

BOOM MASSIVE EXPLOSION!

Protagonist: Maker nooooo! / ... Arse. / I shall have my revenge!!!

Why oh why Lola does your dialogue have to be so awesome....

Cos I'm a Ferelden turnip in real life?

Can I be a turnip with you...so far I've been called a cinnamon roll warm, brown and delicious though the way she was looking at me I don't think it's what I thought.

I wuv Carver, he reminded me of my sister whiny and irritating but loyal. I made him a Warden and he sort of mellowed out and I actually cried when he said In War Victory Champion...I was so touched.

They did say our classes would matter more, so maybe our prologue will be different for the class we pick

I figured but it made me wonder when she brought out the bull whip, the leash and kept calling me a dirty girl. Sort of what I imagine romancing Cassandra is like.

I hope so, I'd love to be able to run around as the new protagonist going about his/her daily life, getting a little glimpse into her life/friends/family before sh!t hits the fan. I found DA:O to be much more engrossing for that reason. Plus, when anything bad happened to those minor NPC's (especially the ones that fancied our Warden like Tamlen and Cullen if you were female.)

I would love that! Would make up for lack of race options and I'd love for a Rogue to be caught stealing like Duncan in the Calling novel and is sentenced to death but the Divine finds out about this splendiferous feat I performed and recruits me and in the process I work my way up to becoming the leader...so in short I've thought a lot about a rogue origin.

Lol funny you should say that, cos a couple of hundred pages back I came up with an idea where the rogue protagonist got caught trying to pickpocket Cullen and that's how we meet him.

... Hm, I kinda like this and I kinda don't because I was hoping we'd have to camp out sometimes. Then again, maybe they've been working on the Orlesian ball scene *fingers crossed.*

Rogue is where it's at! I like this.

Edit : I'd also be fond of the changing "camp". One day a camp, another a castle. Mix it up. So many options, why stop with just one?

I think he meant his IRL house. Otherwise I'd imagine Orlais is the one country that has multiple castles or Chateuas to be French so a home base that developes into a castle would be kind of AWESOME but unlikely imho

Exactly, why not make the most of that brand spanking new engine and gives us a bunch of different home bases, dependant on the situation at the time. So, if we're on the road then we'll have to set up camp or bunk up in an old abandoned shack somewhere, then other times we could stay in a tavern or **** house *que Cullen b!tching about it*, then perhaps as a one off we stay the night in a big posh chateau after we rescue some Orlesian noble from bandits.

I'd like a choice of what outfits to wear to the Orlesian ball, so we could have the pants suit if we wanted, but the option of dresses as well... including a really awful looking one, just for lols! I'd hope that the companions would have to dress up too, even if it is just for that one quest.
