Well, John Epler was just a bit irked about people on the forum jumping to conclusions and being rude etc, then a couple of other devs mentioned that they generally avoid the forum for that reason, then another dev said they were thinking of paying a visit for the first time and the others warned him off in a jokey manner.

I mean, I can understand people having concerns but there's no need to be rude about it. They'll get no answers attacking the devs. So far I really like the sound of where DA3 is going.

I think they just get frustrated, as do the rest of us, with the people who post negativity and attack others for having a different opinion, and overall immaturity. I doubt that means they will stop listening to those that make reasonable observations and suggestions. You have to remember that they see the support of their hard work through varying methods, such as cosplay, fanart, etc. They are smart enough to know the loud voice of a few self entitled jerks does not override the dedication of their real fans.

Call me self-centered, but I get the feeling that some of this is pointed at me. In my defense, I do try to be polite, even when I'm under a barrage of rude, highly insulting attacks. FWIW, I've said what I needed to say and can go back to trying to force myself to feel some excitement about something that has been bled of every drop of pleasure.

Maybe things will pick up once we get some information. In the meantime, Maclimes has suggested a saved game generator application/mini-game thingy that looks awesome for creating your perfect DA:O and DA2 imports. Anybody feel like swinging by and giving it a bump? This idea would work even for console users, and it's a wonderful alternative to downloading somebody else's (possibly dubious) save.
