Argh, their best estimate is Friday. In my small town I am now one of only 44 customers out of 3500 without power. Can't tell if that's good (I'm next!) or bad (eh, I'm low priority). After no tech, worst thing is COLD SHOWERS!

And that is at least one good reason why I'll always have a gas water heater!

Ah bliss... *sigh* ^_^

As for Cassandra, I have this crazy impression that she thought Hawke got the idol and deliberately planted it on Meredith to make her go crazy. Is that crazy? I can't think of any other reason for assumption about why they went on the expedition.

Hmm, I dunno that I'd assume she got the idol in order to cause homicidal craziness -- or at least I didn't get that impression. But I could see some kind of vague fear of Hawke deliberately searching for powerful magics that would give her some kind of a foot up in the world, and just figure that those magics ran amok.I guess I'm still not convinced that Cass even knew a priori about the Meredith goes cuckoo part.  But I'll have to review what she said about all that.

As far as the eyes go, I'm going to side with Bekkael on this.  Greenish-amber seems to be what my 360 wants them to be.  But then, this was the same machine that makes Alistair's eyes look blue at times, so... grain of salt and all that.

A sister of the Xbox.

R2, I loved Panera when I lived in FL. Now I really want a pastry, which is not good for my waistline. <_< Hope you get your power back soon. Hugs!

Edited to add: I really love that pic. I just wish Hawke were an inch of two shorter. (That's my short, little self talking) It would be kinda neat if you could change the height/weight of your PC when you create your character, much like Xbox avatars let you do...

What are the conditions for being able to tell Cullen about Anders? I've tried on the last two playthroughs and failed. Does Anders have to be rivaled?

I can't remember, honestly. I think I did do it on my templar playthrough, which was the only time I rivaled him. So, maybe? I thought you got the dialogue option to tell Cullen regardless, but maybe not.

Yes, he must be rivaled.

I thought he had to be rivaled and you had to be sympathetic to the Templars, buuuuuuuut I could be very wrong. Just rivaling Anders sounds like it would work though.

Also, thanks for the input on the eyes guys. I think just calling them hazel makes it vague enough, don't need to get into any other descriptor. The fun thing about hazel eyes is they're any combo color. Hooray!

@Sia - Haaaa yea, that seems to be a theme for these guys... I had a pattern myself and didn't know it. Admittedly, Sebastian and Fenris are more my bag for DA2... but Cullen has wormed his way in there.

As for lyrium dosage and stuff, I can def see it making sense that it would deplete faster through use. But it has to have some sort of addictive quality to it since the game has told us, hey, they get addicted to the stuff. /ponders into infinity...

Okay. I'll have to pay more attention on my next playthrough. I end up getting him in friendship without even trying.

Anders is my only anomaly.  I don't know why I adore that character so much.  At least I can still say I liked Cullen in DA:O.

I liked Anders more in Awakenings but I understand the need for character railroadingdevelopment. I do like his character in DA2, but he's too much of the tragicmance for me. If I want to depress the hell out of myself, I'll go for Anders.

I like Cullen in DAO after playing my Amell. Yea, like a thousand others I shipped Amell and Cullen like whoa... and then I found Teagan and my Amell went wild.

Still, I wonder if Cullen will be allowed to bridge all three games. Other than Flemeth, I can't think of any other characters that will bridge all three games. NPC wise at least (non companion.)

Ah. I played a Surana. Something about the ultimate underdog with vast magical powers appeals to me. Though I do intend to do an Amell game at some point.

I do hope he will be allowed to. Considering Greg Ellis' character's fate in the last PotC movie... he might have time to do more. LOL

Keep your fingers crossed. It seems to me that they went out of their way to make him reasonable and an ally of Hawke regardless of the ending you choose. I would be shocked if there isn't some further inclusion of his character. Although, as I think I've mentioned before, I don't expect him to be a romance, as much as I would love it.

If they did make him a romance, I'd be terrified they'd hit him with the tragedy stick like Anders and Garrus and Tali.

I'm not so sure they'd hit him with the tragedy plot.  I'm thinking if anything it'd be more of a situational.  Kind of like Sebastian's romance I guess.

Though if folks flip their collective shiz over another het romance... -.-  Yea, probably not.   They've given enough ins for Cullen to show up in DA3.  If not as a companion (which I'd be all sorts of HELLS YES for) then def as an NPC.

So many possibilties.

Well... there is that little head canon crackfic plot bunny of mine where Varric lied to Cassandra to protect Hawke's true love: a certain Templar Knight Captain.  And maybe Anders and Fenris didn't really hate each other, it was all part of the cover up.:innocent:

I was thinking along the same lines. There are really so many changeable possibilities if you think about the fact that it's VARRIC telling the tale. I used the same schtick in a M!Hawke romancing F!Hawke oneshot for kmeme (they were no relation).

They could really write just about anything with Cullen and get away with it for any future DA game. ;) I'll just join the chorus of hoping it's nothing tragic.

Yea I even used that little nod to Varric the story teller in my Sebastian vid.  I figure hey... it's just Friend Fiction! /snorfle

Actually, I tried to shop Anders on my first playthrough, when he was 100% friendly and romanced. I even helped him in his dastardly plan. Got the convo and the lulz. Cullen telling Hawke, who has been shamelessly living in sin outside of wedlock with Anders out in front of the Maker and everyone for the past three years, that his templars have had difficulty tracking Anders. I was like "WTF? LMAO!"

So yeah, I think you can do it on friendly, it might be available only if you choose certain dialogue options with Anders?

He's a 100 Friendly, not romanced, I didn't helped him with his dastardly plan, and I get nothing when talking to Cullen. Also tried it with him at 100 and romanced. Grrr....

Thinking about DA3 and seekers: devs hinted that DA3 will be about your attempts to stop the war. So you'll be doing what Leliana and Cassandra wanted to do in the end of DA2. Cullen could join that quest, I think. He was against the Annulment and definitely should be against the big ugly war. So I can see him as a companion. It would be so cool! And devs said there may be a qunari companion - imagine the party banter! :)

Maybe you have to help him do the dastardly deed to get it. My Hawke did. Of course, the only reason I was ratting Anders in that playthrough was for the lulz with Cullen and Elthina. But I imagine in most pro-mage Hawke playthroughs, Hawke probably helps Anders, or has no intention of shopping him to the templars.

I helped with the dastardly deed in my second playthrough (on my third now) and don't know what the deal is, man! Of course, my game is bugged too, because I haven't been able to get Merrill's QB quest to trigger. Could figure this out with a toolset..... <_<

If the Qunari (crap I almost said quarian, LOL) companion is anything like Sten, I could see the dialogue being a lot of this.

And I hope DA3 gives you a choice... either to stop the war through peace or to end it with victory.

Cause... well, I'm a bit blood thirsty.  And it'd be kinda fun. X3

AAAAhahahahahahahah! I do that ALL the freakin time. It's so easy to mix up races and cross worlds, isn't it?

I agree that I hope the next DA game gives us choice, as opposed to railroading us into the same ending no matter what. <_<
