Oooo Cullen related tweet:
*Name removed*: #SketchFridays pic.twitter.com/SEAdY3hv
ToniaLaird: "Nice! I'll have mine up a little later. I'm digging the chillaxed dude. Looks a little like a young Cullen... :)"
*Name removed*: "funny you mention Cullen, was thinking of revisiting the DA fanart I was working on prior to the move. Gotta find ruffs first!"
ToniaLaird: "I always mention Cullen to you, just to torment you. :)"
What's insane is I read this friend's response on here, before I read it on Twitter. This friend is a hardcore Cullen fan, so I naturally went there when I saw her sketch.![]()
OMG, Tonia, your ears must have been burning again!! You always tend to show up when we talk about you...
LOL Would love to see some sketches of young Cullen. Fun to imagine what he used to be like, idealistic young sod.
BTW, did you see our Cullen forum banner, lovingly crafted by littlenikki a few pages back?

So Tonia, I know David Gaider has said in the past that there isn't an official backstory on Cullen, other than the obvious stuff, Broken circle story, he's Fereldan, simple stuff from his .chr file. But if you start writing a character, Cullen or any other minor character in the game, as a writer, do you ever find yourself sorta auto-filling the background on them? How do you manage things like that when there's multiple writers working on the same storylines?

Okay I debated with myself but saw that someone might send the banner to a dev, and as a fellow Cullen addict, I would love to be a part of that hehe xD so here is my photo... just a link so it doesn't clog up the thread lol http://i1048.photobu...zpsee63e79a.png
I tried to look off in the distance, striking some cool templar pose ... but it just looks like i'm staring at my cat....

So much documentation. Before we start writing the actual dialogue, we write up the plan first, and pitch it to the other writers and various leads. That way, everyone has a good idea about the character and what is going on. Plus, we're all in the same office, so if one of us has to write someone else's character, we just go and kick the owner's chair until they tell us what we need to know.

Are there ever any power struggles over characters? I can't help but have this funny image of the writer's pit as dark, smoke-filled back room, every writer throwing craps for the juicy story lines. "Excellent! Serendipity!"Tonia Laird wrote...
