So....

Have we discussed what gift we'd want to give Cullen or no?

Maybe something that reminds him of his childhood? Like, perhaps he'll mention having a toy or specific item he lost as a kid/recruit and we happen to come across one on our travels so we get it for him. Alternatively, if we happen to visit Ferelden again and go to the Circle, we might come across an item of his that he thought he'd lost forever that we could give him once we're back in camp/the home hub.

I just wonder what would be so special to him from his childhood, I mean I don't want to give him anything that may have been his mother's or something cause I like to think he'd give that to us (and thats been done with Alistair with his mother's amulet)

What if it was a baby blanket?Posted Image

I tend to think it would be something religious for him but not like the Chant or anything something that's significant in the Chant of Light that represents love in some fashion. It might even be something that simply reaffirms his belief in his duty to protect mages likea piece of the chant that talks about how Andraste protected a mage for the majority of her life. idk

Barring that I think he might be glad to find his family sword or maybe something simple that reminds him of his life prior to the Broken Circle or even just life before the Circle.

Well, it'd be a gift for both of us technically. A childhood thing for him that could remind him of the warmth his mother may have had as she made the blanket...and then it'd be a gift for me to keep warm while we cuddle after sexy-time..

Well, if he's an orphan then maybe it's a toy (for example a little tin Knight) that he had with him when he was taken to the Chantry, or given to him by one of the more compassionate Chantry sisters when he was upset one time. He hid it away under the floor boards beneath his bed in the sleeping quaters so that the other kids wouldn't steal it/break it, but over time he completely forgot about it and subsquently left it behind when he became a recruit. Over the years he often wondered if it was still there, but presumed it would be long gone by now.

Later on our protagonist finds it (if we visit Ferelden) or stumble across an indentical one in a shop or whatever. Back in camp we talk to Cullen who tells us all about how he joined the Templar Order initally because he wanted to be a Knight and how he feels like he's failed etc. We present him with the little tin Knight and make a comment about how she saw it and thought of him etc/that he'll always be a Knight in her eyes etc. *Que romantic moment*

Like, maybe we find some ancient scrolls with some old Chant that he's never seen before. Then when we give him it as a gift and he reads it out loud, he'll get a bit choked up because it's beautiful or whatever.

Sort of yeah. Maybe it's from Andraste's diary and she talks about how she approved of her friend ( a mage) who's fallen in love with a commoner or something and how she see's it as pure and right or something and that helps him come to terms with some of his regrets and gets him past the problem he has with romancing a mage.

Andraste's diary day 60: "Wendy's been shagging some commoner, I approve though - he has nice buns. Also the Inquisition ****** me off."

Day 89: "Today I went to a Tavern and pulled the Maker. Damn I'm good."

Day 90: "The Maker has jealousy issues. Douche."

*hides the thread's body after murdering it.* So do you guys have any interest in the character "The Iron Bull" I think he's interesting I'm just kind of scared of a Qunari who shows emotion other than anger and calmness.

Sorry, Danny Boy 7, but the only character to interest me less than the Iron Bull is Sera. I've got this sneaking suspicion he's going to wind up like Oghren without the body-function humor. Or worse, a kossith version of Oghren *with* the body-function humor. *shudders*

In any case, some will love him, some will hate him, just like every other character. We'll find out more as the months pass.

As long as hes not romancable ill be a happy camper. That's literally my only concern, in fact its something that would put me off his character entirely.

Oh don't get me wrong I just wanted to know other people's thoughts no need to apologize. I'm right there with you neither the Iron Bull or Sera interest me; the first because well I'm not really a fan of having another Qunari/Kossith that isn't a woman but I'm not completely against it either. Sera on the other hand can suck an egg until I hear more about her. I tend not to be a fan of drunken dwarves and thieving archer elves, to cliche in my opinion, but Oghren won me over because sometimes he could be really deep like when he talks to the guardian during the Urn of Sacred Ashes or when he's talking about his kid.

So far I'm really interested in only in The Warden, Cassandra, Cullen, Dorian Pavus (the magister) and maybe the assistant clipboard girl.

I'm not keen on his nickname, kinda reminds me of the energy drink. I think he'll be interesting though, since all the Qunari/Kossith/whatever their called have been very militant and stern, so to meet one that behaves differently could be a laugh.

He also reminds me of the Black Whirlwind from Jade Empire.

What if he's romanceable only for men :P? I always thought Sten was effing with Morrigan to shut her up as they had no reason not to believe him when it came to that. I feel like enough people want it though that it's possible especially since I dunno if they'd resort to only humans for romance.

Here's a question, based off Danny's one:

If Cullen is a male only romance, will you be pissed off?

I personally we be fine with it. I'd be a little disappointed that I couldn't make a DA3 version of myself to shag him (because I'm creepy like that), but I'd happily go ahead and play as a male instead. So long as Cullen gets a little happiness, then I'm good.

About the Iron Bull ... I can't even begin to describe how I excited I am about him lol I find kossith incredibly sexy, and I've been dying to romance one since I first played DA2 (played that before DA:O). So if this Bull guy is romanceable, I will be like ... the happiest girl on earth xD

If Cullen were only available to male characters... I would be pissed off because BW would be going back on their promise to make everyone bi and thus available to all players. I know I'd be just as pissed if he were only available to female characters, so it would be wrong for me to be satisfied with the other way round!!

Yes I would. lol
When it comes to RPGs where you can pick out your character's gender, I always pick females (but if there's no options I'm cool with playing as males btw). So yeah, I'll be upset, not angry, just upset.
