I think Skyrim will be on my xmas list this year. So it's not worth it? I just can't play DA2 anymore? I tried to last night, with two different Hawke's, and I just felt myself falling asleep. Cause I've seriously played the game like 20 times, completed it at least 10. I need something to tide me over for DA3!!!

FWIW, I couldn't get past the first prologue part of it. I got so motion sick, even with third person perspective turned on. Husband also didn't get very far, sadly. But different strokes and all that. Most folks seem to adore it!  So probably still worth checking out.

Uh oh. I don't get motion sick, but I do fear I will find it boring, so....

I got horribly lost in that game sooooo many times lol.

It's still a fun game to play but I don't feel it was worth my reservation money. It had no replay value for me and I wasn't up for exploring every possible shadow and cave and rock. The NPC characters are just set dressing really. They're there to do one thing and it doesn't seem to matter how you interact with them. :( There's really not much choice for that kind of thing. So it'll pass the time if you can enjoy it once, because it's huge! But I couldn't do it. Without characters to liven things up, it felt like a milk run. The Assassin's Creed games might only offer one story and no interaction choices and one protagonist but at least I the story rocks! For me anyway... :D I get fully immersed in it. Plus ACR multiplayer is fun.

Edit: I forgot to mention... The dragon shouts in Skrim are pretty cool!

In the prologue I kept getting stuck on some roof... it was very frustrating... then sooooo maaaany turns inside dank castles and caves. But I loved the chargen...  :?

One game I really didn't like, was Dragons Dogma. The character creator was pretty cool, but the rest of it was just... bleh. It was an open world, but it looked dull like one massive field. The sorry made no sense and the romance option thingy was just mind blowing, there was me thinking "I'm totally gonna shag my lead pawn because he's hot" and then out of the blue, some random NPC I don't even recall helping gets kidnapped and turns out to be my love interest... weird.

Oh, Lola, FWIW, I'm trying again SWTOR as a sith, and it's way more interesting than when I was a jedi. It could just be that once you try to really be a jedi, they're rather dull with all that nobility and no passion, blah blah. I was supposed to turn in two padawans for starting a relationship! Say what? That was my first step to the dark side...

So, getting a bit back on topic. Cullen's ahem skills. What did you guys think of the templar skill tree?? I thought it was kinda... limited. I pretty much used Holy Smite and that was it...

Not yet! Husband and I are MPing, so he's the agent and I'm the sith warrior. He keeps saying he thinks I would like the smuggler storyline too. He also thinks it would be easier for me to play, technically, since I kinda have two left thumbs. But I am determined to use a freaking lightsaber!!

Oh man! I loved using Silence and Drain and Cleanse! I SOOOOO PWNED! Quentin! It was amazing! :D I took every ability in the Templar tree and every upgrade. That Hawke WAS the tank. I loved walking right up to the Bad Guys and just hammering away at them. Anders was the healer for everyone else and he hated Hawke! Full rivalry by the middle of Act 2! So much fun...

Ahem... sorry... I just really loved that play through... I played it like Hawke was bitter toward magic because of all it had cost her but when Anders said "I swear, if it's the only thing I accomplish; I will make you see" or something to that effect. So I let him. :D It was yummy.

Edit:
But if Cullen had been romanceable... Hawke would have run off with him and had little smitey babies! lol!

Apparently one of the LI's for the smuggler storyline is hilarious if you flirt with other people whilst with him. Hepler said he was based a little on Alistair.

I never really like the Templar tree in any of the games then again I really didn't like any of the specializations, but I'd hope Cullen gets a rather unique one in Inquisition. Like maybe it's largely the same but tweaked a little so that he's awesome with actually taking out mages AND abomination whereas the PC is just good at nullifying magical abilities. Cassandra for instance would be best against both sides.

You know, it's been so long since I've played the warrior class that I can't remember anything about the Templar skill tree lol.

I wonder what sort of special skills Cullen will have?

The weirdest thing I've ever seen based on Templar skills is in DA2, when Cullen throws his sword into the ground, pulls out this ball of... Idon'tknowwhat and then throws it at the bad guy. Also, I find this kinda odd, feck knows what he's doing here:

I've always thought, he's doing something that affects the Fade or the Veil, maybe, so it disrupts a mage's ability to draw power through it. It looks like some kind of lyrium energy to me.

The romance system in that game was so weird, I was shooting for a Madeleine romance but ended up with the Queen as well. I never got to finish DD, because my save file corrupted and it was just too tedious to redo (the fast travel system or lack thereof, oh man). Being a magic archer was really fun though.

He's stunning the enemy with his dazzling good looks. They are helpless against his attacks.

Even the side quests baffled me, I never knew what the hell I was supposed to be doing because some parts of the quests dont open up until later on.

Ok, the photo has evolved from Cullen's Angels to the Templar Rockettes
