OMG that looks...  harsh. Poor Isabela!!! Looking forward.

edit: Ah, misunderstood. That pic is from the new issue released today. I thought it was a spoiler of the new series. Rats... guess it doesn't tell us what happens to Izzy after this issue... gulp.

So hypothetically, if the "Inquisition" title isn't referring to us being the Inquisitor, but rather the rebel Templars/Seekers reverting back to their Inquisition roots/Mage hunting etc, then in theory Cullen has even more of a reason to be a companion/LI in DA3, probably the plot heavy one.

That would be so awesome, on all counts.

Honestly, this has been my thought all along. It seems so much more logical for the new branch of the non-Chantry templars to dust off and reuse their old name, especially when their new mission seems identical to the original Inquisition's.  And, if the new game does deal with this political (and religious) shift, then indeed, Cullen would be a natural plot heavy companion. At least we can hope!

Blame the survey "leak". The first line was "Take up the Inquisitor's mantle..." and that's fairly unambiguous. Yes, it's true that we don't know the date of the survey, and it is also true that we don't know if it's even genuine, but it did have the title right.

/defensive waffling ;)

Oh, gosh, I know... personally, I just still have a hard time believing much of that leak stuff until we see something more official. I mean... it all could be real, or real at some point when they were still collecting impressions via survey, but my own head finds it less convincing that all of it is true. Only time will tell.

Before any of that leak stuff came out, I'd been expecting a new Inquisition of some sort based on the official hints we'd already gotten (strat guide, DG), so it's not so surprising to me that the new title reflects just that. So trying to keep my own expectations focused on the more certain things we've heard... like those hints, the PAX presentation, Greg Ellis's tweets. All that sounds amazing to me. :wizard:

There is a Dragon Age III Inquisition thread that is asking for your "Top Five Things You'd Like To See". There have been a couple of mentions of seeing more of Cullin and of having him as a love interest. Do visit the thread and mention that seeing him in DAIII is something you would really like. The mods are paying attention and will see the level of interest.

I don't know.... every time someone tries to take an honest, non-squee filled pro-Cullen stance on the DA3 threads, blood is drawn. I'll check it out though. Thanks for the heads up! Posted Image

Oh, good. My post is on page 15. Maybe I made it in under the wire.

Also, is it my imagination, or do the smileys rearrange themselves when I'm not looking?<_<

Can anyone remind me of something. I have so many headcanons going now... I can't keep them straight.

Do we have any evidence one way or another that Meredith received approval for the Right of Annulment from the Divine? We know Karras says she sent to Val Royeaux for it, but do we hear any more, perhaps during some of the Last Straw dialogue??

Gah, no it's not just you... took me forever to realize why I was so confused each time I looked for one... I have no idea why they rearrange, either. Doesn't seem to be a function of which I've used recently or anything... SO WEIRD.

I was reading that... Then it was just too much so I stopped. I never commented though cause besides Cullen theres nothing I -really- want to see. Ill preorder the game (any "editions" there might be too) and buy the all DLC regardless of whether people say the game sucks or not. xD

No, nothing official. We do know that Meredith asked Elthina for it and was refused. By going straight to the Divine, she was going over Elthina's head.

That whole thing has me scratching my head, especially when you take the events of the Exiled Prince into consideration. According to Leliana, she was sent at least partially to warn Elthina of an impending Exalted March on Kirkwall and urge her to flee the city. Why would an Exalted March be necessary if an Annulment would do? If an Exalted March was planned, why even bother with an Annulment? Razing the city will kill the mages without the extra paperwork of the Rite.

Unless... could the Divine have been planning the Exalted March as a means of getting rid of Meredith as much as cleansing Kirkwall of its demons? They're traditionally ordered when a geographical area gets away from the control of the chantry, so if she were as well-informed as all that, it is possible that she knew that Meredith was a loose cannon. No idea where Leliana's Song takes place, but it certainly seems as if Dorothea was thoroughly familiar with the Free Marches (I finally broke down and played it to see if I could understand why brushyourteeth is so ardently pro-Justinia. I still don't know, but it did make me hate Leliana *marginally* less... a miniscule amount, anyway. And I liked Tug.). Grand Cleric Elthina, who had direct oversight over Meredith, seems to have been technically subordinate to the Divine, but seems to have retained at least some autonomy. She did not leave when expressly advised to do so. Maybe Justinia realized how dangerous Elthina's inaction was in Kirkwall's volatile climate?

Maybe we'll find out at some point.

Edit: And in answer to your question, no. We don't know. Nor do we know when the request was made. Act 3, start to finish, can take as little as 2 weeks. It could take longer than that for someone to ride to Val Royeaux and back.

This is all something I've wondered as well. I do imagine that Kirkwall must appear to the Divine to be a big stinking morass of fail, at several levels. Meredith's a loose canon, Orsino's an agitator, Elthina's doing nothing, the Resolutionists are at play and causing trouble, the civilian leadership was long been weak and is now non-existent. It could be that the very fact that Meredith sent to V.R. for the Right, instead of dealing with her local Chantry rep, flags to the Divine that Kirkwall is approaching unsalvageable. Maybe the Divine hasn't responded to Mer's request because she's considering the Exalted March. I suppose it's what I would do.

Indeed, I think the events in each act are negligibly short like that. But that said, their primary mode of transport was by sea, and both Kirkwall and V.R. have ports. So, VR is in principle only a few days by ship. LOL I bet it takes longer to wait for a spot in the Divine's schedule than to get to the city.

If the winds are good. It took 2 weeks to get from Gwaren to Kirkwall, and Isabela and the Qunari dreadnaught chased each other around the Sea of Swords for "days" before getting caught in a storm and getting shipwrecked.

But as you say, I don't know how high a priority the Divine would place on a (or another) demand bearing the Kirkwall seal. I imagine she gets a lot of correspondence from that quarter.

Or she could have been stalling until she had her own ducks lined up.
