Meh, I'd shag the lot of them. You've gotta try these things lol.

If Cullen discovered he's actually just into men for DAIII, I'd totally have to try it. LOL!

I'd make the sexiest damn protagonist EVER and bum that man into next week. *Ahem*

Making a man that's a match for Cullen physically would be a serious, serious challenge.

I predict lots of reloads. Or trips to the Black Emporium.

.... tip: aim for "clean-cut" rather than "attractive"  Posted Image

I'd just have to scan my face into the game, might be bad for Cullen though being outshone by my dashing good looks B)B)

I could scan mine in too, though I'd probably look more like a twelve year old boy in a man's body. Maybe with a beard....?

A friend did Captain Morgan a picture of me once, and I think I pulled it off quite well. Observe:

Sorry if I offended anyone. I just don't want the annoying rapid, yaoi fangirls getting their claws into Cullen and turning him into a shadow of his former self. Like they did with poor Fenris and Anders. I'm so glad Alistair escaped that.

Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

Actually Alistair didn't, just saying.

I have no problem with people wanting a character specifically for themselves. I wish Kaidan was strictly M/M. :P

Stop right there!

I have to tell you how much I respect your honesty. And your willingness to see the other side. Bravo, bravo.  Posted Image

I totally wish there were gay and lesbian only options. I just feel like letting some of the characters be *maybe gay if you want them to* isn't really the same thing as inclusion.  Posted Image

And that's coming from a straight girl who only plays straight girls.

I've said it quite a few times and I'll say it again I want romances for each orientation but only if they are able to properly appeal to those er groups? I mean I wouldn't mind having a romance denied me, I mean I really liked Traynor, but as John Shepard I was boned (hehe irony).

I mean if Cassandra (as an example) was this great character but was only an option for a female PC I would be like "grr...good for them* but if I really really needed to romance her I'd reroll. The only issue I have is that if we're going to go down my route we have to make each love interest equally important, not in story significance perse but they'de all have to be a companion and not just an NPC (like Steve or Traynor).

If they can't do that though I'm okay with all of the characters being bi or HEROsexual

I feel exactly the same way! And consequently, I think Cassandra would make a fabulous lesbian. Actually, it would kind of explain her whole "Galyan, you're sweet. Uh.... later." type of attitude in DotS.

I mean, really? I would have been all over that.  Posted Image

Well she does kiss him at the end, just sayin and they didn't exactly have the greatest chances for her to mount his little mage body. She does have a crush on male Hawke though so here's hoping I can haz her all for myself nom nom nom.

I'm starting to think Templars and Seekers have some sort of kinky fetish for the whole forbidden mage thing. First Cullen, then Evangeline and now Cass with Gaylan (she blatantly liked him at least a little). And lets not forget whoever got Wynne up the duff waaaay back in the day and all the Templars shagging/raping the mages/tranquil in the Gallows.

Can I give you a massive beard like Duncans?

I er uh guess. I thought you were anti-beard though. I can actually grow a pretty good beard atm so go ahead.

Really? I totally thought Cassandra seemed frigid with Galyan. But maybe that was only me. Didn't she just kiss him on the cheek at the end?

**edit** not saying the writers intend her for only the ladies -- just saying I can totally see it.  Posted Image

Oh great, masterful one. Teach this lowly baby-faced boy how to become a mighty moustached man!

I think it's just that forbidden fruit tastes the sweeter and all that. I mean if they were saying "templars, dwarven woman are forbidden because they are to short to ride the teacups." than I think Sigrun would finally know what an Antivan milk sandwich really is.

Also, you don't play with beards, if you properly know how to use one it can er...I can not say around ladies.

Back to what was being said earlier, though - I would really like for there to be gender-specific content for each LI. It'd make things seem a lot more personal and natural (gay/bi/straight/lesbian/transgendered romances may not be all that different from one another, but men and women ARE definitely different from one another).

Plus it'd make for hours of youtubing pleasure. Yes, please!

Definitely worth it if only for replayability alone. I love Cortez, he was awesome... rubbish at keeping the shuttle out of enemy fire though lol.

Oh I can see it to, er somewhat. She was frigid more so because he was a mage and the whole thing behind that. And yeah only the cheek but it was sort of payback saying "Yeah I think you're cute to and you're not the only one who can flirt.";)

omg I missed out on an important convo D:

Battlebloodmage wrote...

If Cullen is available for both genders, how do you think they should differentiate the romance between the two genders? I would like for them to have some gender-specific pronounce. As much as I love Kaidan, a lot of what he said was pretty gender neutral. Maybe some gender-specific scenes would be nice, but I think it may take up a lot of scarce resources they have at the moment.

Hmm I like the romances being pretty much the same, except, you know, he might call a FemPC "beautiful" and a BroPC "cute" or something ... though you could call both genders the same thing even there.

meanieweenie wrote...

In theory, don't guys and gals both kind of want to hear the same thing from an LI? They want to know their feelings are reciprocated, that they are appreciated. I guess the difference would be (a stereotype, I know) a girl may want to hear how you make them weak in the knees for reasons X, Y, Z and a guy may rather hear that you make them feel safe and secure. Forgive me if this comes off as offensive. I know sometimes what I'm trying to say doesn't come across exactly right. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie]

Okay I believe the part that I bolded ... so yeah I don't buy into stereotypes. I'm a girl and I don't want some guy making me safe and secure or any of that rubbish haha xD I think guys and girls are the same, but even so, stereotypes exist, which is why I often like to play as a guy and avoid that cheesy stuff.

MissRedZelda wrote...

Me personally, I think Cullen should be like Alistair and Garrus, and be a little present specifically for us ladies ;-)

Well obviously I disagree since I am a Cullen fan and want to be able to romance him xD And I'm still pissed about not getting to romance Alistair!!!! lol Ughhh sorry Zev fans but I'm discovering that he was a poor substitute. Zev just didn't FIT with my Warden. But what choice did I have.

Well it is a little offensive since I am a yaoi fangirl lol but I know you didn't mean me specifically. Plus trust me, straight romance fans can "ruin" a character for us m/m fans just as easily. Lots of Fenris x FemHawke pics REALLY turn me off! But who cares; it makes those fans happy.

Dude, that's why I want to be able to play as an elf again! I think an elf guy would be sooo cute with Cullen. And they BETTER give us a Black Emporium again or I'm gonna scream. I dunno how many time I had to go and fix my Hawke's chipmunk cheeks and derpy eyes after arriving in Kirkwall...

GayShepard: You're lucky you're pretty Cortez!

Anyway I wouldn't mind gender specific stuff but I don't want it to be to prominant because you know I'd love to take Cassandra out on a date and declare my undying love for her, cuz well thats what I tend to do, but I'd hate if that's taken away because I'm a dude. Know that's not what you meant brush, so no worries :P

I'd prefer the romances to be very different, sweet and tender but in their own ways. Like I took random female to the bar and we shared a kiss after some sweet dialogue but with random male somebody had a more casual Isabela'y romance while still sharing that sweet moment.

Actually, I could totally see Cullen having cuddlez time with an elf, now that you bring it up!

.... thanks for that. I won't be able to stop thinking about it now!!  Posted Image

Danny, I think no matter which gender you play, Cassandra's going to probably end up being a take-charge kinda girl. You may spend most of the romance trying to break through her shell/work past her fiery temper. I see more "shut up so I can kiss you" moments than sweet, tender ones.

.... and hopefully lots of "BULLSH!T!!!!"  Posted Image

Don't lie -- we both know you were NOT ok with Varric's being unromanceable.

.... for that matter, neither was I.

And speaking of which, they never explained that very well either. A girl named Bianca doesn't mean anything concrete at all. Aveline turned you down because she was into Donnic. Why wouldn't you love me, Varric, dammit?!!
