Danny, I think no matter which gender you play, Cassandra's going to probably end up being a take-charge kinda girl. You may spend most of the romance trying to break through her shell/work past her fiery temper. I see more "shut up so I can kiss you" moments than sweet, tender ones.

.... and hopefully lots of "BULLSH!T!!!!" 

Oh definetily I mean when they were developing her as a character they described her as Queen of the Vampires, which I thought was kind of funny/awesome. I've totally been waiting for a romance where the character actually cares about me (all the way through).

Let me give you a run down of my romances...

Ashely Williams, Morrigan, Isabela....need I go on? 

And maybe I'm attracted by powerful women . Other than Anora...she can suck a duck and get...:devil:

I was expecting the story behind Bianca to be either something a bit sleazy or gut wrenching, like his one true love dying in some tragic manner so he named the bow Bianca after killing her murderer with it or something.

Alistair is head over heels for you all the way through. Even if he does have to dump you to be King, he'll sacrifice himself for you if you don't take the dark ritual, saying that he should have never let you go and that he wants to take the killing blow to save you, especially since he can't be with you anymore. That man is perfection.

It HAS to be a lady love of his, and not just a sister or something (or no one at all) because it's literally given as the reason he won't let himself be with anyone else again, ever.

It was a cheap and hasty way to make him unavailable for romance, IMO. But I know, I know, the devs were rushed.

Ever since my friends and I learned enough Tolkien elvish to be able to insult one another ("You smell like a human!") I can't get over the idea that humans are somehow stinkier and sweatier than elves and only the elves can smell it. It actually prevented me from romancing Zevran as a human.

Um....

Quenya, Sindarin, and the language of Mordor (which is technically a kind of elvish).

What I mean is that they weren't as hmm needy, for lack of a better term. They were definetily vunerable and I love the romance but sometimes I'd like to not have to guess whether Morrigan or Isabela are gonna come back. At the end of Origins I kind of felt used, like "You only wanted me for ma dong and wardeny swimmers." happy ending in witch hunt though. Isabela really made me wonder during the end of Act 2 I was kinda peeved to say the least until she showed up.

I guess I just want a romance who is sort of like Alistair or Leliana, but in the second case isn't to girly? I mean sure enough in her feminine side that she can still seduce me, but manly enough to be tender when I needed it, like when my mom DIED *glares at Izzy*

Yeah, we had the same thing going on with Fenris leaving. And Anders blowing stuff up, which is romantic,  inspiring, and downright sexy if your character is radically, any-means-to-an-end anti-Circle. For any other kind of playthrough it's pretty "facepalm. You've ruined my life."

Oh I see what you mean; yeah, I'd like to experience an Alistair-like romance, too ... although Fenris is my canon DA2 romance, he is still on the fence about Hawke and whether he should commit to him/her until the very end. (I do believe he loves Hawke for most of the game though).

Anders loves Hawke throughout, but he seems preoccupied by The Cause. Merrill, too.
