Hard to say. Supposedly this Tervinter magister hates what his country has become, so it could be that they'll bicker but they won't be mortal enemies.

He probably wouldn't trust the guy, maybe even try to kick him out of the group, unless the guy really impresses Cullen, I don't think Cullen will ever like him.

I want fewer hardliners in DA3. More complicated personalities that experience growth. Not that Fenris and co. weren't complicated, but I felt like they could have taken them further, you know? I'm sure it was a timing issue.

I think maybe the problem was, that because we couldn't just go up and talk to the companions whenever we wanted about their past/feelings/etc, instead it would all come out in the companion banter.

No! I loved that they were extremist, really. Actually, I loved Anders passion throughout (thought it overshadowed his romance, which was a no-no). I just think they should have been able to grow past that, with the PC's assistance. Fenris in particular should have been asked to rethink his ideals via several different conversations. Depending on his relationship with Hawke, Fenris might or might not go down that path, etc.

Haven't finshed my Isabela romance yet and haven't done a Merrill one yet, so I don't know if their personalities are comparable.
