I could totally see that.

Also, is it cool or dreadful that we are feared so? I'm vaguely inclined toward the former.

Oooo an interest post in Avejajed's thread by David Gaider, that's worthy of taking note:

"Personally, I wish I was more inclined to respond more often to the thoughtful, polite posts. I tend to think that posting something that says "that's a good idea!" and nothing further will come across as banal or disengenous-- and tend to be more drawn to posts that demand response, or require crowd control. I can say that thoughtful posts are more effective at persuading the opinion of a dev that happens to read them, even if we don't generally comment as we probably should.

You'd think that would just make sense to people, but the prevailing opinion seems to be that being loud and abrasive will-- if not change someone's mind-- get you what you want. I'm not sure I've ever met a dev who said "that fan was so rude and obnoxious-- I now want to make the game they're demanding in order to make them happy" but some people seem to think that's how it works. Perhaps there is a perception that, on the few occasions that an outcry has met with results those results came about solely because of the outcry, and thus reinforced the mindset? Which is too bad.

Personally I'm certain that all the devs here appreciate those posters who go out of their way to elevate the level of discourse on the forums. Indeed, we've had conversations about particular posters who have impressed us (and will even pay special attention when they post). So one should not fear that their reasonable posts are going completely unheeded... even if it's always possible some might get lost amid the general rumblings of the threads. We cannot, after all, read everything."

Totally missed this. Thanks for pointing it out, Lola.

It's good to know that they do take notice of the more lighthearted and constructive threads.

I'm flattered, to be honest.

Also, that poll makes me a bit sad that the Pro-Templar ending is the only one where you see the full extent of Cullen standing up to Meredith.

I think it's hilarious! Most of the time we play up to it for lols anyway, if people don't get that then they need to pull the stick out of their arse and lighten up.

Just flipping through Asunder again... Lambert reminds me of Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (both the book and the Disney film.) LOL.

Not much, The DA3 forum is one big flame pit... worse than usual actually. Aside from that, there's been no new leaks or details.

Thanks Lola. I guess I won't go in there then lol. Personally I avoid that forum like a virtual plague and just stay here in my happy cloud...D'awww. Started another playthrough of Dragon Age 2 yesterday and once again am having a hard time getting Fenris full rivalry without being a total douche :P

I was doing a pro-templar playthrough to remind myself of that side of things, but I've played the bloody game so many times now that i'm bored of it. I've still gotta do my ultimate perfect playthrough that i'll import in DA3 yet... but I'll leave that one until a week before DA3 hits the shops, just to make sure everythings fresh in my mind.

Here's a question for everyone:

What sort of Easter Egg/tributes do you think will appear in DA3?

I reckon there will be a couple of Hunchback of Notre Dame references, like maybe the ugliest face contest or something weird like that. I'm also hoping they'll give us "The Shield of the Marauder" item as a "lol" for the whole ME3 ending saga/Marauder Shields meme, and maybe some sort of reference to the whole entitlement/trolls from the BSN thing.

If Cullen is a companion/LI, then I'm seriously hoping for some sort of fan girl reference thrown in. Like the whole wanting to touch his hair thing, or maybe a bunch of rabid women oogling the poor guy etc.

I haven't quite gotten there but I'm starting to realize why it takes me so long to start new playthroughs. That damn friendship/rivalry can get SO complicated that its hard to keep my free choices (choices where I'm not trying to grind approval) straight AND continue down the relative nice guy route.

Lol, I've never been able to get any kind of friendship with Carver regardless of whether I'm pro-mage or pro-templar. I'm gonna have to meta-game it I think.

I'm about to log off, but Carver as I'm aware can't get full friendship (I don't know though) but if you work at it and make him a Warden he'll be friendly and mellow.

Oh man, this is so awesome. And, you know... there's one thing to moan about crazy fangirls... but this suggests that the Cullen fans are mobilized and active... like us. Lola's army, FTW!! :wizard:
