I would love for some total, out-of-left field issue to barrel in to the mage-templar debate, like a new document surfaces that Andraste was a mage, and the whole political hierarchy is shaken to its core. The purists send out assassins to destroy any evidence, etc. while new prophets arise, reinterpreting the Chant and start to gather their own following. In between, Justinia V's support crumbles even further as she has to distance herself from these new findings to shore up the Chantry and so in effect must backpedal on her support of the mages. Now she's a flip flopper and fewer support  her.  Maybe she hires the PC to find the truth, but Cass comes along with the secret mandate to bury anything bad you learn, ala Evangeline in Asunder.

Some big show down with our PC at the center of the controversy, something slightly mystical happens that can  be interpreted in several ways. Sorta like the deus ex machina in Raiders of the Lost Ark when the bad guys open the ark and get preferentially nuked, leaving behind the good guys unscathed and scratching their heads. This of course leaves us at the end with no real answers about Andraste, so not diminishing her  mystique or the faith of her followers, but the Chantry is irrevocably changed as an institution.

Yeeeeees! I would be happy as a clam for something completely unexpected to arise. The espionage aspect  always hooks me.

YES! I love Greg Ellis, for sure. Was I broken up about him not voicing Anders in DA2? Not so much. With Anders character changes, I thought that Adam Howden was an appropriate replacement. That was mitigated by the fact that he got to resume his role as Cullen, though. If he'd been entirely gone, I would have been sad.

It isn't just Cullen's voice (and Greg's acting) that makes him worth including in the game. If we started off with a brand new character, all the wonderful backstory would be lost, and they'd have to spend more time developing somebody new instead of fleshing out a semi popular, and somewhat polarizing, existing character. It would be such a missed opportunity

Wow! Just finished catching up on Avejajed's Dear Developer thread and posting there only to find this place has gone nuts! =D And it's my last day before leaving for trucking academy! I won't even be here all that late as my bus departs at 8:50. :/ I'll miss you all. *sniffs*

So what's new? I'm about to do some packing so I have no clue what's going on in here. How are my fellow Cullenites? =D

Id still miss him but it wouldnt bother me much as we have already been one game without romancing him, whats the difference...?

I'd cry, deep in my sleep. j/k Well, I'd be upset and miss Cullen. He is his own character and I want to learn more about him, for me, it's just been bits and pieces here and there over the last two games.

I dunno if they would use the same voice actor since Cullen's voice is so...I dunno, well known and his? It'd be like Steve Valentine oing another big character, all I would think when he's speaking is "oh, thats Alistair's voice."

Cullen's voice is just the icing on the cake for me, so a new character that just sounds like him wouldn't be remotely the same. What's interesting to me about him is him.

Like, what if they'd had GE stay as Anders and so hired someone new for Cullen in DA2? Pretty sure I'd still love Cullen.

And his shirt hasn't been fleshed out - so much to do... But this picture is solely Lola's fault! With her moonlit lake romance scenario.

I probably won't be able to post anymore now. I have lots to do before I go. But if I can, I'll pop in to say goodbye.
