Ah okay. Well he doesn't exactly have anything against criminals, especially in Kirkwall where he basically has to kill others just to survive and as an apostate he can't really say it's WRONG to break the law. On the other hand Martin's just trying to start his life over.

As I recall though I thought Isabela doesn't deal in slaves and that was the whole deal why she got in trouble with Castillion? Plus my Hawke will romance Izzy and will give her, her ship because I honestly don't see a reason why not .

Well like I said, because when Hawke romances Fenris, he can't in good conscience let a man who deals in slavery live. So he denies Issy her ship and kills Castillon!!

 I'm going to go post this in the Varric thread, but I thought there might be some people here who might want a second chance to say farewell to Varric. It follows the same pattern as the Cullen one, and goes on the assumption that Varric was lying about his knowledge of Hawke's whereabouts... and possibly about their romantic status, as well, if that's what you're into.

I believe that was an example of what would happen (how people would react) if he went into more detail of what he was talking about.

I can't wait to hear more details about character interaction. It looks like they're gonna go back to letting us investigate the companions thoughts/feelings/personal history again. I'm gonna pester the hell out of Cullen every 5 minutes if he's a companion (doubly so if he's romancable.)

Speaking of which, what do you think his reaction to the public displays of affection would be? Both as a spectator of the protagonist and LI making out and as (hopefully) a participant?

Great question. I think he would be totally embarrassed by PDA, himself and with others. Just seems like he'd be a prude that way. Of course, if he was finally head of heels for you, he'd probably let you get away with it with just a complaint. Yup, that's my headcanon, and I'm stickin' to it!

If he likes the protagonist's partner, then I bet he'd feel a bit awkward, and politely avert his eyes. If he hates them he'd grumble and do the same, maybe with a sour look.

Now if he was a participant, I can imagine him being extremely sheepish about the impropriety of it all ... the first time. The rest of the times, I can just picture him blocking out the entire world, maybe saying something sweet, and focusing completely on the protagonist for those few seconds before getting back to the mission at hand<3.

I think if it was between the PC and someone else, he'd be like "Oh! I'll, uh... give you two some privacy", if he didn't like the LI in question then he'd probably make some snarky comment about how they have a job to do, kinda like the whole "urgh, get a room" sort of thing.

If it was him, I think maybe the first few times he'd be like: "In public?! Oh my..." *kisses* but over time, once he got used to it maybe he'd say something sweet, or be like "I could get used to this".

If you've been flirting with him I imagine he'd ask about how serious the relationship is and such(with the other companion), then blurt how he feels..

Now that I know we'll have more conversational and physical interaction with our companions/LI, I think i'm gonna be even more gutted if Cullen isn't one of them. The guys a complete enigma, I wanna learn more about his past.
