Do you guys know if it's been confirmed that we will have to play as human in DA3?
Not yet, but it's likely.

I'm actually kind of interested in seeing what they've been talking about... with everyone having thier own unique look but being able to customize. I truly hated not being able to switch armor in DA2. Not for looks but for stats.Danny Boy 7 wrote...
You know guys I've been wondering what your preference towards the armor system is? The original one where all the companions are customizable but lose their unique appearance outside of their original outfit or like in DA2 when the armor was constant except for special story consequences and romance?
I personally really loved DA2's iconic outfits, but I can understand how their appearances for everyone except the twins, Aveline, Anders and the romance can get a bit dull. Seeing the way DA3 is leaning makes me happy in that all the companions will have their own general appearance but if someone doesn't like that Cullen has a pelt you can change it.
My only concern is that we won't get "special" outfits. I would love to see story outfits still make an appearance. For instance if Cassandra has a quest where she reunites with her family she gets an outfit that sort of signifies her Dragon Hunting past or maybe her nobility whereas Cullen romances you and wears a cleaner uniform for the rest of the game (if you let him)

Agree. I did like the iconic looks, but upgrading is fun too. I find I'd rather keep them in cool armor than worry about upgrading. There are just some things Sten shouldn't wear...

Or that all I do is talk about him all day with my friends and say how one day I'll be his wife or that he's mine? lol But yeah..whatever to them, I'll squee when I damn well please.
Mrs. R2s Muse Cullen... Rats doesn't really work when he doesn't have a last name does it?
He could always take her last name...he seems like an advanced kind of guy. Cullen Muse. Sounds alright.
Anyone name that movie...?

Agreed, I'll miss the freedom of DA:O, but I like the compromise.

Per my husband.... if you are able to, replace the whole comp. There will also be new graphics and sound cards, etc. If you're going to have to update, may as well go for the full monty.R2s Muse wrote...
Sooo, this is totally off topic, but anyone have experience with replacing the hard drive on a laptop? Trying to figure out if it's worth it now that I'm in imminent hard drive failure, or if I should just replace the 1.5yr old laptop altogether.

Ah, thanks. Normally that's what I'd do.. but I keep seeing techies on the support forums just saying replace the harddrive. Trying to figure out how much my time and headache is worth... LOLmeanieweenie wrote...

A year and a half is not an old computer, even when talking about a laptop, but replacing *anything* inside the box is a pain in the big toe. It isn't like a desktop where you can pull one out and plop in anything as long as it fits. Drivers, compatibility, etc. *can* make for a lot of headaches. That said, I had to take out the hard drive of my laptop to ship it back to Dell to have the screen replaced, and the removal and reinstallation could not have been simpler. If you are replacing your existing hard drive with an exact duplicate, it is no more challenging than replacing the battery of a cell phone.R2s Muse wrote...

And so there it is.... more proof that my husband is just lazy and his first response is usually "Get a new one". LOLberelinde wrote...

LOL Well, I think he has a point that usually everything in your computer is so out of date that you might as well upgrade. I was just thinking, as berelinde pointed out, that it's really not very old... Of course old enough! Why is it that when something breaks it's always just past warranty expiration? LOL Looking in the manual, it looks straight forward and I found a kit that can preclone the hard drive so I don't have to deal with reinstalling the OS and the drivers and all that... Hmm... the techie in me wants to dust off her skills...
But luckily, it hasn't died yet I've just gotten an ominous error that means "replace your hard drive; it's about to fail." So no loss of fic! Hooray!

LOL Yes, I think therein lies the rub... If it failed once, should I replace it with same? I guess if I'm gonna try it myself, it only makes sense to replace with identical and roll the dice for $200.berelinde wrote...
In all fairness to your husband, I did say "exact duplicate." Upgrades require an advanced degree in information technology, endless research, two calls to tech support, three trips to Best Buy, and a lot of aspirin.

Do you suppose it could be DA3 related "things" or just more comic announcements and ME3 dlc screen shots/hints.
