So I still argue that those were decently healthy relationships by comparison.
True but slavery and being locked in a prison are tough things that take decades sometimes to get past, especially if the person starts writing manifestos. I remember someone telling me that manifestos were signs of nuts, or at the very least that it was a sure sign that someone wasn't going to be swayed easily or was it that they were on the road to ruin.

So much potential LOST.
Hero: My love
Iron Bull: Inquisitor!
*love scene and just for you guys it has some nudity/ME3 ness*
Cullen: Why are you walking funny?
Cassandra: I was about to ask the same thing
Hero: Don't ask...
Iron Bull: *Grinning in the corner*

I suppose Leliana and Isabela could count, but those talks always felt more like playful teasing after the fact. Instead I would like to see someone be all: "Ah, you should totally pursue [insert love interest here]! It's obvious you like him/her and I think you'd make a great couple!"
It would be fun to have the companions talk to each other about it too, and someone support the love interest! "You are so obvious! I think you should just take the plunge, it's obvious s/he likes you too!"
And then the 'matchmaker' can be all amused and smug after the get together~

Something like that. But being a supportive friend is gravy.
Oh I agree with you to, I just think it's an assest rather than a detractor. I mean in SWTOR my Jedi Knight married his former Padawan, I didn't want to romance her at the beggining though. I mean she jst seemed to eager to "violate" the Jedi Code...as it were.
I just think that not romancing someone should be something people think about when playing with that character. It should be as tough a question as whether Anders should live or die. You know have something that can be influenced, but make it like
"Okay so she is a nice person, very sweet, but a bit odd. I love the fact that she is so kind to everyone, but I hate that she is sort preachy. She is always going on about how governments need to fall and how people should live by their own rules and has severly screwed me in diplomatic missions. Am I willing to try and change that"
I dunno if I explained that well enough but there you go.

You know what would be nice to have? Someone that completely supports the romance you choose. I like that there's someone who gives you 'the talk' and worries about you, and I like that there's a bit of jealousy thrown around (as long as it doesn't turn into teenage immaturity), but what about someone who is ALL FOR YOUR RELATIONSHIP? That would be a nice change of pace!

That wold be nice, it would have to be a non-LI thogh I think because it wouldn't really make sense if they were attracted to you yet were trying to set you up with someone else.
Iron Bull: Dude, Cassandra totally wants you...I can see it in her eyes...
Hero: You see a lot of that in most womens eyes...
Iron Bull: You haven't seen her when your eyes are averted, the longing, the internal battle that rages within her, an aching pleasure begging to be released, a thrusting lust, in and out, in and out, in and-
Hero: Andraste's ****** I get it?!
Iron Bull: See even you have ****** on your mind!
Hero: *grumble*
....
Iron Bull: Cassandra.
Cassandra: What is it Qunari?
Iron Bull: Have you seen how our leader looks at you?
Cassandra: By the Maker open your mouth and say something vulgar and I'll make a hammer out of your head.
Iron Bull: *grins* I believe he would like to hammer you Seeker.
Cassandra: *glares*
Iron Bull: In all seriousness though you two would be perfect together and I know you both want each other.
Cassandra: Bull****! *turns and walks away but glances at the Inquisitor for a moment*

*Romance scene completed*
Iron Bull: Oh yeah...I'm good...
I guess I think that he's gonna be the new "bro" character that Alistair and Varric were.

Basically. I just think there should be flaws DURING the relationship outside of them being like, "OMG I have an aversion to being touched or that I'm kind of ****ty." Make it a bit harder to choose whether you're willing to get involved with anyone.

Honestly I don't think that we do know for sure that Cullen will be a companion and LI. I hope he is, but I'm not going to say "it's in the bag" when I don't have the game in my hands and Bioware hasn't confirmed anything.
The only reason I don't keep adding 'if he's a companion' to everything I say, is because I'm lazy.
