I feel the trailer will just keep with the male main. Sucks, but it seems to be the thing. :/
Unless, hopefully, Cullen is the main NPC to worry about this time, then maybe it will be a fem.
I can wish and hope!
I have a feeling it'll be a male lead and Cassandra, though. Not that I'd complain, really, because a good trailer is a good trailer! I just want Bioware to pander to me and my interests.

You know, a part of me is kind of sad that we almost know for sure Cullen will be a companion and LI. That means we only get one more male LI.
It kind of takes some of the excitement away, you know?
Honestly I don't think that we do know for sure that Cullen will be a companion and LI. I hope he is, but I'm not going to say "it's in the bag" when I don't have the game in my hands and Bioware hasn't confirmed anything.
The only reason I don't keep adding 'if he's a companion' to everything I say, is because I'm lazy.
Agreed, unfortunatelyEveryone on the Vega thread was in the "pretty much already confirmed" phase of his LI status, especially after the leak. Bioware has a nasty habit of kicking all of us square in the balls when it comes to our hopes and dreams....
I feel more sorry for the Joker hopefuls when it comes to Mass Effect. Not only did Bioware put in that line about how he would 'totally rock Shepard's world' under different circumstances, but he was turned into a sexist dick over EDI. I swear I spent half that game wanting to punch Joker. I didn't support him and EDI getting together in any of my games just because he was a disrespectful ******. :/

*sigh* I was one of those Joker romance hopefuls. I went a more evil route when it came to the EDI/Joker relationship. I urged them to get together....

Know what would be great? FemPC and Cassandra in the trailorI know having two guys in the trailor, a la Hawke + Isabela, where it's bloody obvious they're, you know, TOGETHER, is impossible at this point. But two girls would be fantastic! And entirely doable in this day and age.
What do you mean?

To be honest I think they shouldn't show anyone TOGETHER in the trailers, simply because it gives the illusion of a canon pairing. I would rather the trailer just show off friendship and possible rivalry.

Having an obviously lesbian relationship shipped to me in the promotional materials? Um... I'd really just rather they leave that open for individual interpretation, honestly.

I agree with this. Especially if they can't recreate the character models properly for one thing. Trailer Isabela was barely recognizable!Dirgegun wrote...

Though my husband just pointed out to me that Isabela might have been part of the trailer just as an allusion to her being the reason for the big Arishok battle in the first place, and Hawke thinking "That woman got me into this mess!"
But still, it definitely seems as if he's using his lovey-dovey thoughts of her as battle fuel throughout the trailer.

Girl power and hint of girl/girl romance if you really want to take it that way? I'm fine with that.

They shouldn't ship s/s in the trailer. It isn't really accepted amongst everyone, and I don't want to pander to the mentality that two females together is acceptable and hot while two males together is wrong, gross, and shouldn't be allowed.
Though I know miss Motomoto didn't mean it that way! There are just... unpleasant implications.

I guess it never really bothered me that they showed a male Hawke clearly in a romance with Isabela since I've always played a female PC, so the male Hawke never really existed in my game. I can see the aggrivation though, as playing DA 2 as anything other than a mage just feels like I'm going against what the game wants me to do. Again, just my opinion.
I really liked the Sacred Ashes trailer for Origins, as it showed off the characteristics of the companions and hints of their personalities, without the Warden having to run up and make out with either Leliana or Morrigan (or Sten....HA)

Oh I know! CGI Alistiar...YES PLEASE! I get that they only had 3 companions though, considering that's all you get to bring along with you in-game. Bioware seems to have a trend of only showing off male LIs in the CGI trailers, well, except for Garrus, but to be fair he wasn't a LI at that particular time.
