Woah, mind blown! Did you know this about Sandal?:

"There's a youtube video of dialogue from the da2 legacy dlc. And there was this comment by some of the carta members you can sneak up on

"Who was the boy in Hawke's house?"

"Looked like that Auducan bastard that got lost in the deep roads a while back"

"The one who's mother was an elf, right?

"I thought his mother was a human"

...if sandal is half-something else, that may explain him being a mage. And didn't Bohdan find him in the deep roads?"

I was really excited when Bodahn and Sandal appeared in DA2. We're bound to run into them in DA3, their like the R2D2 and C-3PO of Dragon Age lol.

I still want Sandal to be an activated partner like Sir Pounce A Lot. You click him in a fight and then a big white flash and you open your eyes and all your enemies are dead. No explaination. lol

Coming back to this late, but berelinde, I love your idea about how the Seekers might use full blood magic out of 'necessity'. That would totally make sense that they need to use the tools of the 'enemy' to fight it. I kinda played with that notion in my fic once upon a time, that the Seeker abilities are basically magic and can be rather dark, particularly the mind reading and such. Honestly, mind domination? Sounds pretty blood magicky to me.

How interesting would a dialogue between Cullen and Cassandra be where it is revealed that Seekers use blood magic?

Cullen: So you freely admit that you use blood magic? You are no better than those from whom we save the world!
Cassandra: Do not judge me so swiftly, boy! From whence do you think your abilities come?
Cullen: ...
Cassandra: Come now, do not tell me it never crossed your mind that a phylactery is blood magic, pure and simple?
Cullen: ...
Cass: *laughs* Foolish boy. One of the first things you learned about the Order was that we do what we must to protect the world from the threats of magic.
Cullen: ...but by stooping to their level... That's ... That's...

no kidding. In that case, must be. Those aeducans surely seemed fond of using the deep roads as a solution to many personnel problems.

 I wonder how old Sandal was when he was found? It's never really stated, but he was old enough to 'wander' so... older than a baby, at least.

If Sandal is in DA3 as a companion I want to be able to mother him. The love I hold for that boy is like no other. But seriously npc or not I hope this time round we get to talk to him more, he has more interesting **** to say than most of the DA2 companions...

Couldn't have been too long, that other kid who got lost down there ended up severely messed up and taint filled... then again, he didn't have the BOOM like Sandal does!

Ruk! I think is name was Ruk, anyway. Either way I support a hug option, because sometimes NPCs really need a hug.
