I wonder if it's worth giving an NPC a surname? Probably not, so if DG isn't joking about discovering his surname then maybe he is a companion?

I'm pretty stoked! Regardless seems he's in, even if its NPC.

Fenris, Cassandra, Leliana, Morrigan, Sten, Flemeth, Cullen (duh) and a Kossith. I want a Kossith Squaddie!

Well, I can't say I agree with some of them, but everyone has different preferences. I'm sure my list wouldn't go over too well here at all.

Basically, if they have been a companion before, I don't want them to be a companion again.

They don't have to be companions. They could just play a role in the story.

I'd love a female kossith...I think I've said that about a thosand times by now, but it's TRUE.

Yeah same here although I wouldn't mind temporary companions like Soris or Ser Gilmore. I just think that it's way to hard to do a companion good twice without having the story become redndant, I'm sure the Bioware writers could do it, but when story takes precedence and players beliefs of what that character is are questioned pure rage ensues.

"Hawke will not be the main character in DAIII, so I would not expect anyone he/she romanced to be a romance in DAIII. No cheating! "

Presumably that would also count for the DA:O LI characters too.

He didn't say Hawke wouldn't be in the game though... Could he possibly have an appearance? As for the romance, I'm ok with that. I wouldn't want to romance my wardens or hawke LI nor any of the other possible LI's from previous games.

I think Hawke would be easier to make a cameo than the Warden, but I dunno if he/she would import over well/correctly in DA3.

Maybe it's just me taking a wild guess but I always thought the exchange between Cassandra and Leliana at the end of DA II ("Gone, just like the Warden") implied that their disappearances were tied together.

In any case I do hope that there might be some sort of closure (oh, that word! ) to the whereabouts of our Wardens and Hawkes.

Does anyone know if DA III will be the concluding chapter of a trilogy? Or will the story continue?

Glad Laidlaw was clear about that. DG made the same point, but still proceeded to torment us that they would still do it if the story demanded.

Apparently there will be more than 3 games, but I guess it depends how popular DA3 does on release.

Oooo, this was in the twitter thread:

"David Gaider would love to be here, but he's busy writing Dragon Age III, coming out next fall. Continuing our partnership with Dark Horse, we'll be doing a third Dragon Age series called "Until We Sleep."

So, looks like we'll be getting it sooner than we thought.
