Maybe it's one of the bad guys from the comics? I just thought maybe it was an inquisitor/protagonist because if the cape... Although that survey leak has been debunked by Gaider now, hasn't it?

Yeah, but originally we looked like it was gonna be December 2013/early 2014, so that knocks a few months off the wait lol.
Wait...what are you guys talking about? Did some news come out today?
Edit: caught up. Woohoo! In the fall! Thats earlier than we thought!

I thought they were going to put more time into development? Isn't two years and a half a bit short for making an RPG?
I admit that I have no idea what would be considered the 'ideal development duration', but considering the game scale they were talking about, that period seems a little short.
PS. Lol at the grumpy cat.

Considering that they don't have to further invent the world (they spent a year doing that in Dragon Age: Origins) any story elements will be rather personalized and they focus less on what is Orlais or whatever the setting is like and more on the character and plot developement. The broad plot of the game I'm sure is finished since they're recording VO now but I'm sure before the end there will be a nmber of tweaks to be made.
Aside from that I'm sure the game is going to be pushed back a couple of months as most Bioware games tend to do that, but in my mind as long as games aren't reusing content i.e. the DA2 dungeons than all extra time is gonna be fixing bugs which is sort of a losing battle until you release the game.
Also...how long before you think we'll see DLC threads

I'm totally cool with fall 2013, and like Danny said, it'll probably end up delayed anyway... Like to March 2014?
The ironic thing is that no matter when the game is released there's going to be those who won't be happy. It's inevitable.
If it's released in Fall 2013 people will complain that it was rushed. And if it's released "sometime early in 2014" then people will complain that it's taking too long.
The only thing I can hope for at this stage is that we get semi-consistant reports on the game's creation progress. That and (as I've mentioned in another thread) I won't have gone completely bonkers by the time the game comes out because I've spent too much time trying to decipher every dev blog, tweet and cryptic hint posted in this forum!

I'll be A-OK with that, as long as whatever online featues they add don't take away from the storytelling and pace of the single player campaign.
Also, woohoo page 900!

Ugly mage guy? I think it's just generic art.
Well I personally sorta adore this picture, though I wonder if they would really make the 'default' protagonist a mage again? We already had a mage Hawke in advertising.
Is there no love for the rogues, Bioware?! D:
