It'd be fun to see him in the next game. Maybe he'd be with the other mages at Andoral's Reach? I don't remember having the option to murder knife him... he either ran away or went back to the Circle, right? And some of those mages survived and got sent to other Circles.... it could happen.

The DeLauncets were certainly comedy gold. If we go to an Orlesian ball, I definitely want to run into those evil stepsisters again. Since they're already caricatures, you could go really over the top and have fun with it.

*Edit* The way she described how she'd grown to fill out her dress nicely, I'm half expecting her to turn up and be a right moose LOL. Omg, I would scream the place down in amusement if she really was this big scary woman who tries to come onto Cullen:

Peaches: "Oh my, aren't you just precious! Aw, you're blushing. Come here and let me soothe your brow!" *Drags Cullen into her heaving breast as he struggles to escape her vice like grip* 

Cullen: "Uh... a little help... please!"

Protagonist: "Well, have fun Cullen, I'll give the pair of you some privacy!"

Cullen: "No! Wait! ... For Andraste's sake woman, unhand me!"

Cullen met Hawke and co. in DAII, but if he had really gotten to know all of your companions, what would he have thought of...

Carver?: I could see Cullen being avuncular towards a templar!Carver, trying to be patient and mentoring while secretly rolling his eyes.

Bethany?: Hmm, I have different thoughts here. I think he'd be very gentlemanly to Bethany, but I would like to see harridan!Warden!Bethany annoy him (since I'm still pissed at her for flirting with Seb).

Aveline?: I think it would be delightful to see Cullen and Aveline get to know each other. I could see her being skeptical of him at first, sorta waiting for him to prove himself, like how she sorta needles Sebastian. But eventually deciding that she respects him. I would laugh if he had a bit of a superiority complex about being a templar vs. her being "only" a city guard. But, honestly, I head canon them as rather liking each other.

Varric?: I think it would take a while for Cullen to figure out that Varric wasn't being mean by making fun of him. I think he'd  generally be perplexed by Varric.

Merrill?: Once he finds out she's a blood mage... he'll just avoid/snub her. Similar to Fenris, but I don't think he'd be the kind to constantly snipe at her. I think he'd suffer in silence, and honestly consider turning her in to the Circle.

Fenris?: Hmm, I could see him being friendly with Fenris. 

Isabela?: I'm going to defer to Lola's brilliant answer here!

Anders?: I dunno, with Cullen potentially having a history with Anders from Ferelden... I don't see them ever getting along. I think he'd accept that Anders is a Warden, so not want to turn him in, but that they'd constantly be at odds. 

Sebastian?: I totally headcanon Cullen and Seb being friends.

Your canon Hawke?: Weeeelll, my canon Hawke is the one who tried to romance Sebastian but secretly had a crush on Cullen -- and he on her.  I see him considering her a friend, and that he will always wonder what his true motivation was for standing up for her against Meredith.

You know we were talking about Cullen's childhood and someone mentioned that fanfic about his sister being a mage and him being taken away to the Chantry from a young age etc. Wasn't that entered into one of the official Bioware writing competitions?

Now that he appears to have a Surname (indicating that they could possibly be creating his backstory), what do you think the odds are that his childhood will be something similar? As an ode to that fanfic?

I don't know, but I love the idea of him having a sister. I'd want to meet her. As his girlfriend, I think I'd be kind of obsessed with the idea of finding some way to make her happy.

When we met Goldanna in DA:O, imagine if she'd been perfectly lovely instead of the nasty shrew that she was. I'd have done anything for that woman, just for the chance of making someone happy who was connected to Alistair!

Man, Goldanna was horrible to Alistair... as was everyone else connected to him in a family wise. Poor baby, fortunately my Warden was on hand to give him all the love and affection he needed. That's another reason why I let him stay as a Warden, because it seemed like he'd never had anything go right in his life before and he seemed so happy to be accepted by the Grey Wardens. Who am I to take that away from him. Plus, my Warden never wanted to be a Queen/Princess anyway, sounded pretty dull.

LOL! I did wonder if maybe Carver kinda allowed her to erm... felicitate him, since it was being handed to him on a plate, but he wasn't actually interested in anything more with her, in terms of a relationship. Sorta like he was embarrassed that he was lowering his standards.

Damn, I really wanna know what Cullen's childhood/backstory is now. Does he know his family? If so, are they a nice family unit? If not, what did they do to him? If he ended up orphaned, howand why? Is his Surname of some importance? Or is it like Zev and Aveline's, just added in for the sake of it? I need to know ALL the things!

I don't know, but he sure had a thing for elves. Which is why I kinda like the idea of Alistair falling for an elven Grey Warden, since it seems really likely that his mom was one too. But I just can't relate to elves no matter how hard I try.

Dunno what to think now that he may have a Surname. My current story, I'm sticking with the no last name bit, since I don't want to rewrite it. I sorta like the idea of him coming from a working class family that is ridiculously proud of him. Then, his "issue" could be that he hid his breakdown from them and why he was sent off to Kirkwall.

I don't think I'm too picky about his backstory. The fact that he has one is almost enough for me. I'd prefer it if there was some kind of "overcoming the odds" thing on his way to Supercoolness, but aside from that... maybe his dad's a muggle and mom's a witch. That would be fun.
