If Cullen is a companion/LI then I'm really looking forward to the first ever play-through where I don't have a clue where I'm going or what to do first.
It's gonna feel so strange, knowing that he's in the game somewhere (because by then the DA team will have announced the LI's) but still have no clue at what point he'll show up. What will feel even more bizarre/exciting, is when we do finally find him and he's dressed in his new unique outfit and (if he isn't a Templar anymore) introduces himself as just his first name or his first name and Surname. No rank or title, no professional work ethic or work code to keep him at arms length... just simply Cullen.
Aaaaand I'm gonna be so gutted now if he isn't a companion/LI lol.
You have a stronger will than I do for sure. I have a tendancy to google that kind of stuff immediately, though this time around I really am hoping to go off strictly from the strategy guide.
I always like to do my first play-through completely blind, which usually means I miss out on at least one companion because I haven't realised that I've missed one lol. But I guess I just like to do it based solely off of my own instinct and moral choices that I would make if I was thrown into that situation.
On my second play-through I like to read up a little on the game and work out if I've missed anything significant and/or figure out where I ballsed up if I accidentally end up getting someone killed or whatever. During that playthrough I also play it making the types of choices I would make if it was me in that situation. After that, all other playthroughs are me experimenting and trying different routes to get achievements etc. Then I'll watch YouTube clips of anything I couldn't bring myself to do in-game, like kill someone I like or whatever. Finally, my "canon" playthrough is the one where I do every little quest, make sure I don't miss anything and get the companions friendship/rivialry/hate meters precisely how I want them etc, ready for import for the next game.
