See, the reason I don't think DA3 will be all about the Mage/Templar war (ignoring the survey leak) is because if our protagonist decides to be full pro-Mage or pro-Templar then implementing that into DA4 could be tricky, since in theory, if you choose to aid all mages to freedom then we'd need to see the outcome of that choice, as would you also need to see the Mages well on their way to all being dead/locked up back in the circles in the next game if you're pro-Templar. Based on that concept then really DA3 would have to have "something bigger" in the works, in order to enforce some sort of compromise. Unless DA3 is to be the final game, which they've already confirmed isn't the case.
I dont think they will do the Templar/Mage thing in two Games. Marketing wise that does't seem logical.
I think there will be something bigger that forces them to work together. In the end a compromise will be made.
DA4 will revolve around something completely different
Could you elaborate, um on the marketing part? I'm interested in what you mean.
What I meant is they won't make two games about the same thing. It just won't happen. Marketing-wise its just a bad move. They have alot riding on DA3 and they are not going to make the same mistakes they made with DA2
I expect to see the Mage/Templar War finished by the end of DA3.
DA4 will focus on something entirely different which will be hinted in DA3.
Oh...well I just got told didn't I?
If my post sounded rude it was not my intention and I do apologize.
I just go by my instinct. The average gamer is not going to purchase DA4 if it has the same subject matter as DA3.
Now of course most of of us would but we are only a small percentage of the gaming market.
DA2 sold half of what Origins sold. They have alot riding on DA3. DA2 was a good game but it was rushed and they simply won't be taking any risks this time around.
