Also, I don't get the additional part to Cullen's codex about the rumours of him being in love with the Mage Warden anymore. Dunno if it's a glitch after downloading MotA... Or maybe they took it out because they wanna use him as an LI in DA3, so they removed the possibility of him still being in love with her.

I believe you only get this if you had an Amell import.  As a result, I've never gotten it.

My Warden is a female Amell lol

Ah, then, I got nothin'.

I've been gone for a day, and the thread jumps ten pages - whaaaat?! :D

So, Fergus Cousland!

1.) Is a hottie
2.) Survives Ostagar
3.) Is attacked sometime after the events of "Awakening" and his life is actually saved by Nathaniel Howe, and the two become buddies.

What happens to Fergus if you don't recruit Nathaniel or he doesn't survive the battle? Dunno. He might actually die. :(

I always figured poor Helena died when Highever was sacked, but if she made it, I totally love the idea of her with Fergus!! I'd also happily match him up with Alfstanna, the BA short-haired bann (from Waking Sea, maybe?) who supports you in the Landsmeet when you find her templar brother in Howe's dungeon.

I'm surprised Fergus even made it into that picture when Ser Gilmore didn't. That guy is a bucket of yums, and completely not related to any of the Wardens!

So, I just came across this again and I don't think I was completely paying attention before - but what do we think about this in reference to Cullen's place in DA in the future?

(from a David Gaider interview that R2's Muse told us about months ago)

"TUK: We note the term Knight Divine. What kind of consequences does that have for the power structure of the Seekers?

DG: There is a Knight Divine. That's the structure of the Templars. The Templar Order head, the Knights Divine actually, they're plural. They serve directly underneath the Divine, herself. Technically it's kind of her bodyguards but they're also the heads of the Templar Order. Even then they're still subservient to the Seekers, the Seekers are a separate group which is also above the Templars. You can sort of think of them as, I don't know if you have this in the UK, Internal Affairs. A group within the police force that is separate but above. The Knights Divine control the day to day operations of the Templars, they are the ones who make all the rules, and a Seeker doesn't normally control the Templars. But if a Seeker shows up, they have the authority to override everybody else, that's the function they represent. They are the watchers of the watchmen."

Good find! It's a tough question to answer though. It's all going to depend on how Cullen's superiors react to the Meredith debacle, no? Obviously, the Seekers have swooped in to get the story straight. It always seemed odd to me that Cassandra never bothered asking Varric more about Cullen's role. (Or did she?) I realize it was Hawke's story but it's a pretty big deal to mutiny against your commanding officer. Why wasn't there a little more emphasis on that?

Anyway, if the Seekers decide Cullen was in the right I imagine they'll be trying to recruit him at the very least. If not he'll either be on the lam or a free agent now.

This part of the interview has always bugged me (please pass me my soapbox...), since once upon a time we were told there was a Knight Vigilant (see templar section here). I do desperately wish DG would clear up the whole Seeker power structure. For example, where the hell were these alleged Knights Divine in Asunder??? Why were they not at the meeting Lambert called to nullify the Accord? Pfft. I have a hard time believing they exist, TBH. Unless, they're literally just bodyguards and don't really do much "leading."

What does it mean for Cullen...? I dunno, about the same as I think we've thought before... Until we find out where he stands following Act 3, it's hard to say. I'm totally of the opinion that Cullen will get busted for insubordination, overriding my former thought that there was a chance he'd be promoted to Knight-Commander. Now, whether it's a slap on the hand or something more serious like a court marshal or dishonorable discharge, I don't know. I do also envision Cassandra questioning Cullen as well. Why does she not? Maybe she couldn't find him. Or maybe she did, and he wouldn't tell her anything? Or, she didn't believe him...? Too many questions.

Of course... meanie's read the beginning of my story where I speculate about that... :?

Indeed I have! And it's an excellent read, if I may say so. I only charge $5 for spoilers. lol

BTW, did you guys see this on the twitter thread:

"from: twitter.com/hanlsp

"Seen in the #da3 combat room - Orlesian chevaliers mentioned offhand in conversation. Spontaneous Gangnam Style dance by 4 people.""

Orlesian chevaliers!! yay! ... and shall I suggest dancing == Orlesian ball? Of course, it's probably just a chance to namecheck Gangnam style, but a girl can dream!

I'm going with the idea that the whole reason that Cullen is in Orlais is because he has been court marshalled (a court marshal is the trial, not necessarily the outcome), and is currently in jail when he is not actively in court. It's during one of these intervals when the Grand Cathedral is exploded or whatever, and the Divine is attacked. So in my brain, Cullen has been charged with sedition but no verdict has been reached. The blast damages the prison where he is being held. He escapes and meets up with the protagonist. He wants to complete the trial and prove his innocence, but first, he has to rescue the Divine.

Ah, that's an interesting idea! I always see him getting thrown in the clink in the Gallows, but that would be a cool way to put him in Val Royeaux!

The DA Wiki is only fan run, so they're only going on speculation.

Cameron Lee isn't sure and none of the others have mentioned it. I'll keep searching though. They'll give us an answer soon enough, but I'm sure someone will film and post it up somewhere.
