I think Mike said at the panel to not take this as an indication of where DA is headed in the future-- he said we intend to go return to "all four races as playable" in the future (his words). In the meantime, we want to increase customization and focus on what's important to DA3.

So..are they thinking of a DA4 already and putting four races back in that one?
Also, I like that they are taking the time to focus on the story more (and maybe even the characters)

I could imagine it being easier to implement more playable races with next gen consoles. So maybe that's part of the reason we're human again this time round? Unless there's an important reason why we need to human in DA3?

Our castle...likely in the Frostbacks since any mountain range north of it would be in a tropical-ish climate. Looks like my Orlais theory is panning out

I think those are just stakes around the boundary of the Dalish camp.

@R2M, Starkhaven's castle is in the city - which is beautiful and full of fountains. I don't think that's it - but we could still see it, and it could be even more beautiful!!

That castle looks like it's in a mountain range. The only ones we know about so far are in Ferelden, Orlais, and the Anderfels. Given that there's snow, I'd guess one of the first two!

If you click on the picture and enlarge it on the bioware blog, you can definitely see that it's a Dalish landship.

The thing with the red sails? Yeah those are aravels Halla look like deer...er just in case you didn't know...The aravels were in DA2 they were just sort of folded up.
