Yeah, that has shades of what he's been saying in the kossith LI thread... or is it in the same thread... ? *sigh* I'm sure Cullen fatigue is part of his response... but I would wager that the crankiness is a symptom of all the "I demand this!" threads in general and the "I demand THIS in a romance!" threads in particular. I'd like to think we're not really a part of the latter... :shrug: but who knows.

ArinTheirinCousland: I've always got the impression that they pick/create companions that will add something to the story/game, and the romance aspect is just an after thought. So, for example, If Cullen is a companion then it's because they feel he'll contribute an extra layer/dynamic to the story/game. If they then decide that he should be romancable then it's a secondary thought, after weighing up whether having him as a love interest would be unlikely/unneeded etc.

So people requesting/demanding they get a romancable female Qunari/Kossith is unlikely to happen if DG and co feel that it would be unlikely/stupid/perverted etc.

But anyway, that's why I've always said we should avoid squeeing and perving over Cullen in front of the devs, because it makes us seem like we only want him as a companion/LI so we can sex him up.
