Addons are installable utilities that your browser can use to do various things.  AdBlock and NoScript are very common ones, both of which can easily conflict with how some webpages display if you don't configure the addon to allow some exceptions.  NoScript especially conflicts quite a bit with a lot of Javascript unless its been configured to allow it to run.

Edit:  If you're asking what they are, I'm assuming you haven't installed any.  Have you tried using IE or Chrome to get to FF.net and seeing if you get the same error on those as well?

Ah, other than trying another browser, I'm all out of troubleshooting ideas.

If you had NoScript installed on Firefox, I believe it would show up in your AddOn manager. Go to Tools > AddOns > Extensions  and it or any other ad blockers would be listed there as installed.

If you suspect your antivirus from blocking ff.net, you might consider shutting off your firewall temporarily and seeing if that fixes the problem.

Would you say the problem showed up only with the new computer? Or could you at one point access ff.net on it?

Hmm, if java is really disabled, I wonder if that could be part of the problem.

I don't recall if you said... does it work on internet explorer? Since that likely came installed, it may have everything already uptodate, and rule out specific settings or plugins on FF. :shrug: Not an expert!

Enable it.  On the FF.net FAQs, one of the first things they note is to make sure Java is enabled.

OMG! We are almost at 100!

After 5 long damn hours with my tech Greg! I finally got FF.net up and running!!!

The issue, my internet card needed to be reinstalled. OMG!

If you had to pick which one would you choose :

DA3 comes out we get Cullen, but there are consequences...

LI options...
Romance you only if you are not a mage
Romance you as a mage, but only as he starts to go crazy from lyrium with drawls
in this case you can help him deal and there are many quests to do so
or you can let it play through in which case he might leave to go the order
let him go crazy he stays, but not himself

Not romance him at all (yeah right!)

Wow. Those are some craptastic options. Not that your suggestions are bad, I mean! But that every one of the would suck to have happen. I guess if I had to choose... I'd pick Romance only if not a mage. I can live with that. :lol:

I guess I'd have to break my Mage cycle and play as a warrior or rogue then lol.

I wonder if we will get any additional dialogue/interactions if we play as a Mage whilst we interact/romance Cullen? I kinda think that a Mage/Cullen relationship should be the canon romance option for him just because of the history he has with them, if that makes sense?

Also, for page 100 would I be able to post the sex scene that was supposed to be in my fanfic before I lost it? Or do you reckon I'd get the ban hammer for being filthy lol.

Ladies, I was just on the "companion/romance for DA3" thread and one of the devs (Allen somethingorother) said he was surprised that there was so much love for Cullen. Should we be worried? It seems like perhaps they aren't aware of his popularity after all. How do you suppose we should go about remedying this?

LOL I think it would be shame, story-wise, to not allow mages to romance him, for reasons mentioned, but for me, it would be NO problem. I've never really liked playing a mage, altho it started to grow on me in DA2. I never played one at all in DA:O because I always got too much aggro (hence why I never had an Amell import, or originally understood the whole Cullen thing).

The lyrium-crazy ideas, that for him to survive you have to send him back to the Order or some other sad sacrifice... *sigh* I must admit that it has a certain sad poignancy that I like, although it definitely would suck for my LI romance objectives.

Erm, I think we need to keep the thread itself safe for work, since there are no mature filters here to protect innocent eyes ... or work computers. But you could always post a link to it and put it on FF.net or devart or something.

About the devs not knowing about the Cullen fan love? Erm... not sure how he couldn't know! But, did he say he's surprised by it or doesn't know about it? It's been no secret in the writers pit. But, surprise is another issue... and common, since he's a small character in DA:O and a divisive one in DA2.  I don't think we can do more than we do now.
EDIT: I just saw that thread. TBH, I got the impression that the dev was joking.

Oh, David Gaiders been commenting in the companion/romance wish list for DA3, might be an idea to start posting about Cullen as a love interest in bulk. It looks like he's noticed but it's worth getting our 2 cents worth in, just for good measure.

Cool... couldn't tell if he still was (something about him skipping the last 15 pages... LOL) but you could be right.
